Well Then....

A couple years and several changes later I find myself back at Bloop. Promising to post both here and on my other online diary more often. It's always nice to have a back up. Not to mention the opportunity to meet more people! Yay, peoples!

I was reading back through some of my entries here (which have since been deleted) and I was definitely in a dark, scary spot of my life. I'm happy to say that I've made it through it and those dark days don't happen as frequently. I'm on the mend! I haven't cut in nearly three months, and it was many more months prior to that relapse.

I'm still an animal loving freak. My fur-kids currently consist of Leni, my three year old yellow lab mix; Ellie, my nine month old shih tzu; Molly, my seven year old kitty; and McSteamy, Jelly, Athea, Mouse, Kitty, Belle and Penny, my rats ranging between 2yrs-6weeks old. Those are just my personal pets. Animals rule my life and our house. Along with them we have Danny (11yr old miniature dachshund), Zippy (8yr old chihuahua), Axel (1yr old rescued pit bull), MiMi (1.5yr old permanent foster border collie mix); Pharah (6yrs old), Nugget (3yrs old), and Anakin (4mos old) the other cats; Binky the lionhead cross bunny; and the rescue rats (Snowball, Spots, Prince Charming, Finn, Mufasa, Nemo, Ariel, and Snow White).

I've expanded my love for rats and started my own rat rescue in August 2011. You can view our website at www.littlepawsratrescue.com or you can find us on Petfinder. It's run by myself with some help from my mom and little sister. There's still some work that has to be done on my part, but it's difficult to manage the networking/promotion aspect of rescue when you're doing it all on your own and working a full-time job.

I am still working at the doctor's office. But, I've recently been promoted to billing. Which is fun and stressful. I'm still learning and I find myself going cross-eyed from staring at numbers for so long. Eep.

Some other random bits:

-My parents got divorced April 2011. My dad currently lives in California with his girlfriend and her kids. I've stopped all contact with him as I can't subject myself to his mental/emotion abuse and manipulation.
-I still live with my mom, but are relationship is awesome. She's my best friend and we manage to keep things going in this house.
-I am in a long distance (currently only online) relationship with a guy in London, UK. He will be here in January -- for a month! I'm excited, but absolutely terrified (insecurities and all, y'know).

Well, I'm fairly certain that's all I can manage for now. Before OD went down this last time I was participating in DePhoMo, so I may share some pictures I've taken recently in entries to follow.
