Some Bad News
Well as with all good news there must also be bad news sometimes. The bad news is that we had a death in the family. She was the grandmother of a cousin of mine, now usually that wouldn't be close enough for me to be upset but my family is REALLY close knit! We have always stuck together especially me and my cousin Joey who is the cousin I'm talking about! Of course I wasn't close enough to Grandma Hosey to be devastated myself but I am VERY upset for Joey, he LOVED his grandmother! But the poor woman was VERY VERY old, and VERY sick. She was so skinny that you could literally see every bone in her body and she hurt all the time. She used to sit there and cry because she was so miserable but she'd gotten so bad that the only thing the doctors could do for her was give her some medicine to counteract the pain until she passed away. I know it sounds AWFUL but Grandma Hosey was ready to pass away, in fact she said that almost daily...so I know that she is in a better place now..at least she isn't hurting anymore. But of course that is small consolation to Joey and his family who are all grieving the loss of a loved one! I wish I could help them more but all I can do is offer a shoulder to cry on and my compassion!
Not to make light of a sad situation but I did want to update on the fact that John is doing good with his job! I am SO very proud of him....as you know he started work on Wednesday morning. On Wednesday he worked from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm, he was BACK up at 3:00 am the next morning and worked that day from 5:30 am to 8:00 pm. Friday was his first day off because it was raining cats and dogs and then he was back at work this morning at 8:00 am (because it was raining at 5:30 so they had to wait for the rain to slack up some) and is still there. In fact the job is 7 days a week from before dawn until well after dark UNLESS it rains or snows. Even then if the rain isn't to hard they still have to go out and check all the roofs they are working on to make sure there aren't any leaks in them. Oh yeah and the day that John worked 11 1/2 hours he was doing nothing but carrying buckets of supplies up and down a 40 FOOT ladder ALL DAY LONG!!! So needless to say the boy is busting his ass for this family and I couldn't be happier!
Isabel is growing up on me, she is pulling herself up to a standing position and is trying to walk when she has help. She had four teeth already completely in, the two on top and the two on bottom and according to the doctor it isn't going to be long before she has in a few more! Our baby boy is due February 5th but according to the OBGYN you have to give or take a couple of weeks from any due date which means that if he decides to come early he could be here within the next couple of weeks! To be honest I am a little bit nervous about taking care of two babies in diapers, but I know that I will be able to handle it. I would do ANYTHING for my kids no matter what the need or what I have to do to fulfill it! So I know that I will be just fine, it doesn't stop me from being nervous though!
I've been thinking about getting rid of our pit bull puppy Harley! I like her don't get me wrong and she is great with Isabel but she is a chewer and she is NOT learning how to be house trained! I mean anything and everything that is within her reach gets chewed to pieces, including my favorite shoes which I'm still not sure how she got a hold of because they were in my bedroom which she isn't allowed in! Plus when we let her outside she'll stay out there for 30 or 45 minutes come back in and the minute she gets in the living room she'll use the bathroom on the carpet. And YES I do know how to properly train a puppy, my mom bred and trained German Shepherds to be service dogs, then when she ended up having to have a service dog for herself she trained her own Shepherd and had him certified! Needless to say my mom taught me well when it comes to animals ESPECIALLY dogs, but I just simply can't get this dog to do ANYTHING!! Anyway I've got things to do and family members to call with my condolences so I'm outtie! Blessed Be and caio!
