iPhone and Bleeping Blooping
First off, tomorrow is Easter, and it was snowing this morning!! SNOWING!!! OMG, I am so fucking sick of this bullshit. Okay, rant about the inconsistencies in the weather in Maine. I'm over it.
Second, I got an iPhone for Christmas this year. It was a used one, but, whatever...I couldn't even come close to affording a new one. And I can get prepaid service on Verizon for $45...you really can't beat that.
But, I got Bloop Mobile on my phone, and of course, there is no entry editor yet. I have been checking on that periodically for 2 years now, and it still says..."entry editor coming soon..." This, mind you, is not a complaint, just an observation.
I just boiled eggs for deviled eggs, and I need to put the ham in the oven. And then cook the brown & serve rolls. Yes, people, we are having our Easter dinner tonight when Kev gets home from work, because we are going up to our camp lot tomorrow.
Why? Because last month we finally ordered our camp. It is being built in Pennsylvania right now, (or at least I hope that it is), because we ordered it with log siding. And green trim on the windows, 2 green doors, and green shingles. It has a itty-bitty porch, 4 feet, but that is enough for just Kev and me. We have wanted this for sooooooooooo damned long. Finally we got a chance to get a loan, and we had the hole in our garage fixed, which was a good $1200, but totally worth it, and we got the camp. I am not even going to mention the price of that.
So, we got to looking at the driveway up to the lot, and Kevin thinks that the flatbed that they use to haul the camp in is going to have trouble with a couple of branches that our hanging out.
He got a long, well, essentially a pair of clippers, and we are going up tomorrow to get the branches out of the way.
And then, on the 30th we have an appointment with a contractor to get an estimate on a grey water system. Sure, I know what it is, but I didn't until the town manager told us that we couldn't "occupy" the cabin until we had such a device installed. On a side note, I really didn't like that town manager, she was old and mean, but, then again, maybe her job makes her that way, because the town manager here at home is an asshole. Must be a job requirement.
I guess what really got my hackles up was when she first looked at my husband and me, who were dressed in jeans and camoflauge, and stereo-typed us as rednecks. Okay, we actually looked the part, but then again, what is wrong with rednecks? Isn't almost all of us in Northern Maine a redneck to some extent?
But, I digress. Although, I don't know why I digress, because I said all that I wanted to on the subject. Hmmph.
Anyway, I need to go get that ham in the oven and peel those hard boiled eggs.
