It's been awhile, hey?
Really, I have been quite busy.
Among my numerous endeavors, is getting my book finished. It is finally published! It took a lot out of me, writing this did. It is a fictionalized account of what I went through as a child. During the editing and proofing, I had to relive a lot of my memories - at first I didn't connect with my story - it actually felt like I was writing about someone else. Towards the end though, I connected, and I relived.
But, on a brighter side, it feels as though a huge weight has been taken off of my shoulders. It's finally out there. I don't have to keep secrets or hide ANYTHING anymore.
I also, on a whim, got all of my hair cut off one day. I regret it immensely, but, what the hell, it's hair, it will grow back eventually.
My oldest is getting ready to graduate from high-school and then he's off to college in the fall. Yay!!
My youngest is getting ready to finish 8th grade and then he is off to high-school next year.
Do I feel old? You bet.
I also finally went and got my first mammogram. It wasn't altogether as bad as peeps made it out to be. It certainly wasn't as uncomfortable as the vaginal ultrasound. That is NOT an experience that I want to repeat. Ever. I am just waiting for the results.
So, anyway, that's about it for now.
