"hear my soul speak"

I like that quote. It's from Shakespeare's 'The Tempest" and reads in it's entirety..."Hear my soul speak. Of the very instant that I saw you, my heart did fly at your service."

I watched a presentation on QVC about a ring that has that very quote on it. And it spoke to me, no pun intended. I'm not quite sure why, well, that's not really true, I DO know why it speaks to me. Because I am currently doing some soul-searching. And this ring is kind of a talisman for me. A tangible thing that I can hold in my hand and look at, and be strengthened.

It's a beautiful day outside, the birds are singing, the sun is shining, and....the squirrel is caught. Believe it or not, we had a squirrel that was sneaking into our house at night and ripping up the trash and stealing dog food. Then he got ballsy and he started coming into the house during the day. Kevin set out a glue trap, because the little critter scared the shit out of me in the kitchen yesterday.

Today the squirrel got caught on one of those traps. I could see his little eyes begging me to get him off. Nope. As much as it killed me, because I hate to see any animals in distress, I couldn't allow him to get off of that trap to run amok through my house again.

I took the whole glue trap with squirrel caught on it over to the neighbor's house. His sister assured me that the neighbor would take care of it. I didn't ask HOW he was going to take care of it. I don't much want to think about the details. Ugh.

It's funny too, because the neighbor was going to bring over a "live" trap later today. Weird how those things work out, huh?
