it's rainy in my world.....is it raining in yours?
I am here at the mother-in-law's house. We are going up to Dover for her appointment with the podiatrist. Then we are going to head up to the camp to see if the traps that Kevin set caught any mice. Can't have them little bodies stinking up my camper. Last time he caught a mama and her 3 babies. I was upset about it, but the alternative was finding mouse poop on my pillow every time I went in the camper.
I haven't caught up with any of my faves - the cell service at my house is bullshit. I only get to use the phone when I am out and about. (Which I will be in Dover, so I will try to read my faves then.)
There has been a rash of break-ins on our road and in our area. I don't know who the little punks are, but I am a bit worried that they will hit our house next. Luckily I have neighbors who keep an eye out for strangers around our houses (likewise with me), and I have a gun that is handy if someone tries anything stupid. (I probably wouldn't even be able to load and shoot it if I had to, but hopefully it will make a good deterrent.)
Kev was trying to put in a water tank the other day, and he got the wires crossed or something, because it sparked blue flame and then went out. So, he wanted to go over to our neighbor's house to see if Bruce (the husband) would know what he had done wrong. We walked over, and the doors were all open, cars in the driveway - but nobody answered the door when we knocked. I may have known these people for over 20 years, and they may say that I am more like family than a guest, but I wasn't about to walk into the house to see if they were there.
Later I called Sharrie (the wife) and told her that if anybody said anything about strangers lurking around her house, it was me and Kev. She told me that I should have just come in and yelled for her.
So, anyway, Donna's appointment is in another hour and it takes 1/2 hour to get from here to there, so I'd better be pushing off.
Can't wait to get my internet back.
