seasoning that is
I took my youngest up to his 8th grade graduation/semi-formal dance. Bleh. I didn't realize that it was an event that I
SHOULD have been attending. (Okay, yeah, my bad). So, after my oldest brought that fact to my attention, I thought maybe I should make an appearance. Again, my bad. I hadn't dressed up at all, in fact, I was in striped black shorts and a white spaghetti strap shirt. And my youngest son made sure that I knew that I embarrassed him. I guess that should have been my cue to leave, but I was sitting way up in the bleachers, trying to blend into the wall, and the auditorium was filling up fast. Then I spotted my boss in the front row of seats. Oh my god!! Fuck me up a tree sideways!
As soon as Cameron had gotten his certificate, and the teachers were setting up for a slide-show, I decided that I needed to cut out. Leaving the auditorium was like doing the walk of shame - I felt so conspicuous. I came home and locked myself in my room and cried for a few minutes. But, I got over it.
Kev called and told me that he was going to leave work early so that he could go up to Dexter and pick up my loving and so-proud-of-me son. Good, because my feelings are still hurt, and I don't know if I really would have been able to keep my own counsel.
So, I took out that pork-loin and cut it into 3 parts. Two of them were wrapped up and put back into the fridge. The third I cut up into chops and put them out on the grill. They came out
superb!!
On a plate with a scoop of potato salad sprinkled with potato sticks. Yum -my.
And then I have my ever-present Pepsi. Although, they aren't really going to be 'ever-present' pretty soon - for 2 reasons
1. My Pepsi habit is getting expensive
2. I really should think about quitting (for many reasons) A. My teeth are starting to hurt again
B. I have to lose some weight
C. They probably aren't helping my blood-pressure at all
(I hope I did that little number list code right - I guess that we are about to find out.)
Thinking of going to the camp-lot tomorrow afternoon. The kids and I would get the car packed and head up, and then Kev would meet us there after he gets out of work. Think I'm looking forward to it.
Might not have internet for very much longer - I just got a notice in the mail yesterday that unless I paid the $500 that is due within the next 5 days, I was going to have my telephone, internet, and satellite shut off. *shrugs*
As long as I keep my BlackBerry, I will still be able to update and read Bloop, and then I will probably go to Newport once a week and use McDonalds free WiFi to make more appropriate entries.
All right, I'm done - for now.
Tootles,
♥
