just my opinion

Do you agree with hunting? Think it should be outlawed? Why?

My husband is a hunter. I am not.

He never hunts anything that he will not be bringing home to eat. Even though I won't eat anything that he brings home that he has shot.

I definately don't think that hunting should be outlawed. A lot of people hunt because they can't get meat any other way. I DO think that there should be a limit on how many animals a person can hunt. And stricter laws for people who break this law.

I don't understand hunting. How can a person look at a deer, say "oh, how beautiful" and then turn around and shoot it? That is something that will never make sense to me.

I grew up in a family that fished and hunted year round. To me it just is like going to the store for a gallon of milk.

I think for some people it's a way of life... and it helps keep down the population of animals who otherwise don't really have a natural predator.. and I look at it this way when it comes to deer... if you hunt them... you get their meat and well Native Americans used everything... but if you hit one with the car.. it's just dead and rots.. now that's a waste.

Me personally... I don't eat game animals.... don't like them.... but my mom was raised in the hillbilly part of West Virginia... her family rarely had money and so they hunted in order to keep food....I think one year all that they had one night was a groundhog (which my mom described as smelling like a wet dog when cooking).... so in cases where people are just hunting to kill the animal... I don't agree with that... but in cases where they intend on using that for food... well that's survival..

I've never gone hunting before, I've had deer run at my car but that's a whole different story lol. I can see where your coming from on how you feel about it, some people just get off to it in many ways (to feel macho, boost self esteem, boredom, competition, hobby etc.) I'm right there along with you on how you feel about it I don't personally like it myself either.
