advice please

I really need some good advice.. There is the guy, well a friend of mine. We have been friends forever, as long as I can remember but not like close friends- just i dk how to explain it, like we grew up together, went to school together and would talk occasionally but we both knew we would be there for each other like if something happened. Well a few years ago, we started talking more and more, and I even talked to his gf for him when they were having problems and I even hooked them two back up a few times, hey what friends are for right well we starting talking and texting more and more and then her and him broke up for good and it was right after my bf and I broke up too, so we both were just out of serious realtionships so we started hanging out and things grew from there and we hooked up and broke up and hooked back up and all this, WELL we haven't been together for almost a year now and we went threw purdy bad times but a month ago we decieded to be friends again and but its just not the same, we never talk and i hate it. I am still in love with him, but i respsect his decision to just remain friends and also he has a gf so but I just want a stronger friendship but I dont know what to do, I try talking to him but he usually doesnt reply ,gets mad or replies the shortest way possible. what do i do?

I just wanted to say thanks for saying for the good luck! haha, and that is a tough situation for me to give advise on b/c I have never been there. That sucks that he "being" like that....I would just try to keep talking/texting him (not in some crazy stalkers style, just casual), or maybe asking him if anything is wrong, if there is still that weirdness. Maybe also explain that (if this is true) you really enjoyed his friendship and it means a lot to you, and you wouldnt want to loose him as a friend because friends like that dont come along that often. Well, I dont know if I have been any help at all...but i tried...again like i said i dont have any experience with this situation...I do hope it works out though...(sorry for the long comment!) p.s. his girlfriend isnt one of those REALLY jealous ppl is she? maybe shes the one to blame for him being like that? (just an idea)

tell him you want your bond to be stronger, that you would like to be better friends, let him know that it hurts you like this not being able to talk as real friends, i know how this feels, it sux i know, andi m sry you have to go through all this, but just call him or text him how you feel, if hes truly a friend he will understand and will talk to you more, just trust me on this one, im sure you two will be friends again soon, im praying for you
