Text messages sent back and forth between myself and "guy" from last entry.
me- "Hey  I haven't had a chance to talk to Luke about how your date went last night yet. Perhaps you could enlighten me? I'm dying with curiousity! I hope he didn't scare you too much hehe he is a bit of a bugger."
guy- "Hi. The date went well and no he didn't scare me. On the contrary. But I don't know if I can do the poly thing right now. Nobody would understand and I'm afraid that I won't be what you want... I don't know what I want..."
[I sent a quick text to confirm with Luke that the date DID go well and he is still interested in pursuing a relationship with guy]
me- "Hey... listen, kitten. It's ok to be scared about these things. You don't have to know what you want. We're not here to push you into something you're unsure of before you're ready. Take your time and think it over. We'll be in contact, ok? If you have any questions, just ask. You should know that I like you, and Luke likes you to."
guy- "aw... I like you too... Can I come over? I think there are some things you should know about me. Luke said you'd understand. Are you free today or tonight?"
me- "Certainly! I'm not busy right now. I may have some work to do later on tonight. If you want to speak privately with me right now would be best, however I can make time later tonight if that works better."
guy- "I'll come over now. See you in twenty?"
me- "Looking forward to it. ox"
Right now I feel bad that idiot me didn't wait to talk to Luke about the date first but he's spent the whole day bloody helping his sister move house and I couldn't wait any longer! Aghhh!!
I don't know what he means when he says "Luke said you'd understand." Understand what? Reasons not to get in a relationship? Well of course... I mean it's his choice... but I just want to tell him that we're not asking him to dive straight into a serious relationship! I know that Luke and I are serious about each other but that doesn't mean that he needs to get to our level straight away. *sigh* Tres complex.
