I'm having quite the time right now. Many months ago, my "pretty old" PC basically died trying to update from Windows 8 to Windows 10. It got stuck on that infamous "boot failure loop" in which it fails trying to update, "restores to the previous version" and then just restarts and repeats the process all over again, never actually making it to Windows.
I swept it under the rug way back when. But I got to work on it today, and... it's been a hell of a time.
Creating a recovery drive from a Windows 10 laptop didn't work. I'm now creating a Windows 10 .iso file from the Windows Media Creation tool, and will be praying to the lord that this will work. A part of me thinks that the motherboard is just too old, and doesn't have the drivers necessary to handle the Windows 10 installation.
I know you guys are totally on the edge of your seats, so I'll keep you updated lol. |
