So today on "Am I A Total Piece of Shit", I'm pretty sure my neighbor upstairs gave her dog away, and then told her daughter that the dog ran away.
A few weeks ago, the neighbor approached me, and asked me for advice on how to properly train the dog, to make sure the dog isn't pooping or peeing inside of the house, destroying things, etc. I spoke to her at length about how the dog needs to be taken on frequent walks to get the energy out, the dog needs to socialize, and the dog needs to be given immediate positive response when he uses the bathroom outside, as opposed to in the house.
She made some comments about how she didn't have the time to walk the dog (i.e. "didn't want to"), and that it was more work than she thought it was. The following week, the poor daughter is putting up signs, looking for the lost dog. I'm almost 90% sure the dog was returned to the shelter.
What really fucking bothers me? The dog is now 1 year old, is not properly potty trained or socialized, and will likely be put down if someone doesn't adopt him quick. Meanwhile, the poor girl who can't be more than 8 thinks the dog just ran away from her.
That dog didn't run away. I know that dog. He was fiercely protective of the little girl. They bonded hard. That dog didn't run away.
That mom is a human trash bag. |
