#2 candle, email from the red sox, people dying and being born

12/02/2010

Tonight it was just my parents and I lighting candles.
My mom said to check my email. I was confused but I checked my email.
For the second night of Chanukah I got a night at Foxwoods cosino. So next wednesday my older brother, my mom and I are going to stay over and I will get to play and win money and earn points on my card. I dont know how to make it sound exciting but it is 2 hrs away so we dont get to go too often and so when I go, I enjoy it.

I hope the old saying, "things happen in 3s" isnt true in this case.
my NJ cousin's uncle and aunt were on vacation in bamuta and uncle Teddy had a massive heart attack and passed away. The funaral was today. He was 80 years old.

My friend who is my baseball traveling to ballpark buddy, Sidney, his aunt passed away Monday and her funaral was today.

My boss, had a baby boy this morning at 3;45 AM. They named him Mason.
(not sure if I spelled the name correctly)

*****************************

Since 2002, the Boston Red Sox have a weekend set acide in December where they sell tickets. They call this weekend "christmas at fenway". The first few years it was a first come-first serve type of deal. So people would start lining up the day before. I would go down at midnight and wait in line. The box office would open at 10AM. Keep in mind, the weather in December in Boston can be quite cold. Usually in the 20's.

They also have players and retired players come by as well as Santa Claws and MRS. Claws. They have games set up for kids to win little prises. It's a nice time.

After the first few years, they realize that it was dangerous to have people waiting outside in 20 degree weather for hours and hours. A few years ago they started a random drawing-lottery. You can sign up for the lottery and you would get an email to say if you were chosen to go down or not. This way, it would prevent people from putting their health on the line just to get Red Sox tickets.

This year they did something new. They asked people to write a "red sox jingle" They would pick the best 5 jingles and they would be the first 5 people in line to get tickets. Of corse I wrote something for that. They will announce the winners for that on Friday. They also emailed everyone who sent in a jingle, saying the first 150 people who responded to the email with their name, age, address, phone number and email address, would get a chance to come down to Fenway park. The 3rd way to get in is if you signed up for the regular lottery.

SO! I got home from work today and recieved the following email...

Congratulations!! We are pleased to inform you that you are one of the first 150 fans to respond to the "Jingle Your Way to Fenway" Extended Offer email. You will be able to attend Christmas at Fenway on Saturday, December 11th with two (2) guests! You will receive an email on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week with your official confirmation, time slot to arrive on Saturday and further details of the event.

Opportunities at Christmas at Fenway include:
- Guaranteed opportunity for you to purchase tickets for the 2011 season
- Visits by Red Sox players and coaches, Wally the Green Monster, as well as Santa and Mrs. Claus
- Opportunity to attend the 2011 Great Fenway Park Yard Sale presented by FW Webb
- Prizes -- including 2 seats from Fenway Park -- will be given away throughout the day to randomly selected attendees
- Take swings in the Fenway Park batting cages
- Round table discussion with Red Sox front office executives

We look forward to seeing you next Saturday!

how happy is Jonathan?
I'M VERY HAPPY!
THIS GARENTY'S ME TO PURCHASE RED SOX TICKETS!

You can buy two "packs" (they pair up a great game with 3 crappy games). They have 12 different packages. There is also a limited April and May games on sale too.

I hope to buy 2 packages and two extra games for a total of 10 games.
hmm 10 games, 4 tickets a game, so that's 40 tickets at hopefully (if I can get bleacher seats) 25 dollars a seat, for a grand total of 1000 bucks. If I cant get bleachers, I wont buy 4 tickets for every game. I will probably get 1 pack of 4 tickets, 1 pack of 2 seats and two extra games at what ever I can get and two tickets.

to summerize: I will be going to Fenway Park to root on my boys of summer and that's all that matters!

Wow!! That's pretty amazing. I can practically feel your joy, lol. I don't think so many people want to see the Braves cause we never have to do all that to get tickets. I will be ordering my opening day tickets online and after that we can just go down there the day of and get tickets. I imagine that the Christmas at Fenway would be amazing. Just the atmosphere sounds like so much fun. I have always heard that it comes in three's but hopefully not.
