82. no piano man at this bar
09/26/2004
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
looking up, at the big neon lights
the blue and orange shine bright
it's dark inside
but yet familiar path, is my guide
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
sitting down at the bar
along the wall that is far
filling out a keno slip
my eyes are scanning for a chick
man behind the bar
puts down my drink, it's a cherry car
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
scanning the numbers
4 12 21 34
I am better off, on the floor
no one sees me anyways
Monday night football is about to play
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
looking behind me, the neon lights are now dim
everyone has gone, all the patrons
walking home, with a buzzz
with my hand in my pocket, because
a few dollars less
that's alright ... I guess
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
