SF Giants won and my nephew Owen’s Bris
10-31-14
The World Series came down to a game 7 for the championship.
Tim Hudson, who has been in baseball for 16 years and never played in the world series took the ball to pitch game seven for the Giants. Taking the mound for the Royals is Guthrie. Hudson did bad, he couldn’t get out of the second inning. Guthrie was a little better, He at least got to the 4th inning before his manager pulled him.
The entire baseball world knew that the Giants were going to put in their ace at some point, on only 2 days rest. (which is unheard of) We figured he would pitch a few innings. However, with the score 3-2 SF, to start the 5th inning, Madison Bumgarner took the mound. He gave up a hit to the first batter. The next batter sacrificed him to second base but from that point on, there was zeros across the board for the Kansas City Royals. Madison Bumgarner was historic. He pitched 3 games in the world series, going 2-0 with a 5 inning save compiling 21 innings and only giving up 1 run. .It was historic. He erned the MVP and not only a trophy but a 2015 Chevy.
It was an amazing series, Either team could have won but only one team can win and that was the San Francisco Giants.
And I say goodbye to my best friend, Baseball. I’m not sure what I’ll do without you for 4 months but hopefully I figure out something to pass my time.

In the Jewish religion, on the 8th day of birth, a boy gets circumsized. God asked Abraham to circumsize not only himself but his two boys as well and all generations will follow. Those who
Genesis 17-10 -14
“10 This is My covenant, which ye shall keep, between Me and you and thy seed after thee: every male among you shall be circumcised. 11 And ye shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of a covenant betwixt Me and you. 12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any foreigner, that is not of thy seed. 13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised; and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 14 And the uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken My covenant.”
It’s a festis celebration, a happy moment. A moment when the baby boy is welcomed into the Jewish religion and given his Hebrew name.
The God Father is given the honor of holding the baby’s legs. My sister chose Jalen, my15 year old cousin to be Owen’s God father however, there was no way J would be able to do the task. He was ghoast white. My sister came over about 30 minutes before the ceremony and asked me if I would do the honors. I said I thought Jalen was the God Father. She repeted, would you hold down Owen? I said yes.
With 30 or so friends and family gathered (would be a lot more if it wasn’t 11:30AM on a Friday)
The moyal (who yes, was a female and I enjoyed her friendly personality and her great singing voice) was ready, my cousin Heidi (j’s mother) had the honor of bringing Owen in to the room on a pillow.
The Moyal explained the ceremoney and the reasoning behind it. (in more dept than above) and we sang a few Hebrew prayers and songs and everyone sang along. (completely in Hebrew…if you werent Jewish you got it very quickly) I held down Owen’s legs as the moyal prepared him. After it was done, she said another few blessings and bandaged him up in the process and my duty was complete.
We all moved on to the feast. People cooked, people baked, my parents bought a delly plate for 25 people plus my mom rapped hotdogs, dipped strawberries, and made ampanadas and I don’t even know what else. . If there was 100 people here, I’m pretty sure there would still be leftovers.
Mostly, it was my father’s friends, my mom’s friends from the temple and a handful of my sister’s friends along with family members minus my older bro (defanately on the shit list for missing this) and my twin’s wife, who feels bad that she had to miss it but it was her last day of one job as she is starting a new job in a new career field Monday morning.
And Owen’s middle name is Nathaniel, and is given my pa’s Hebrew name (try my best to spell it phoneticly) nookchem (Listen Adam Stanler’s 2nd Chanukah song for the correct pronounciation of the CH)
It was a beautiful day with friends (well, of my parents) and family (minus a few)
But unfortunately for me, except for a handful of people who came over to me and actually had conversations with me, I was sitting alone. A jerk-who I wont even mention by name, said to me “why don’t you get up off your ass and go mingle?” I was shocked and didn’t say out loud but thought, and how do you want me to do that?
But my twin was around me and chatting a few times, my cousin Ellen chatted with me for a while. Surprizingly my sister’s friend Marla and her daughter chatted with me for a while. (I was happy Marla’s sister couldn’t come, I have a crush on her, for the last 10 or so years lol) My mom’s friend bobbie and I were trying to figure out who people were as they were coming in. She knew faces but not names and I knew names and…well, not faces. So that was a bit fun. I did go down stairs a few times to get away from the noise and to hang with J in the den.
My mom even made a few negative comments, sarcastic, aimed at me. I didn’t appreciate those either. Maybe I am getting too sensitive or maybe my family is just meen.
I have other complaints but it's just not worth writing out...
Unfortunately, I felt lonely at times and people said-brought up things that reminded me of someone...
