Ain't got no money in my pocket but I'm already here

06/27/2010

Before I tell about my fun weekend with my nieces, I want to say that I'm feeling sad about bloop. I never like having lots and lots of bloop friends, or friends in general, but here on bloop, I only have like 12 people on my favs. However, two of those are defanately not here any more. No idea what happened to them. they probably moved on to FB. (hmm just like in the movie today)
I enjoy reading everyone who is on my favs and I try to note every entry of all my friends and I understand that you all have very busier lives and I appreciate when you do note, but it seems like only 1 or 2 note my entries lately. AND, I did add one person resently but besides that, a lot of you I have read for over a year. I think I need some new favs. Know anyone?

I had a really fun weekend. My college roomy, Jeffrey, who I can them my nieces and they call me... uncle Jonny, I spent the weekend over their place.

Friday night, we didnt do really anything. They were winding down from the week. We had burgers and dogs on the grill with rice. We did take a walk around the neighborhood. They live in one of these nice townhouse comunities. We walked with with mother daughter. So the twin girls were on their scuters, myself and Jeff, than Michell (the mother) and mckayla (daughter) Mckayla is only 13 but is already 5-8. I have a 12 year old cousin who is a boy but he's not even 5 ft yet. Anywho, it was a nice night out and nice walk. We walked 1.3 miles.

Went Alicen (Jeff's wife) and the twin girls went to bed, I watched the redsox game from the west cost. Jeff was cleaning up and doing laundry.

Saturday we got up and Jeff, myself and the girls went to walmart to pick me up a bathing suit (alicen wanted to go to a friend of a friend's pool, it was going to be 90 and plus she had the day off from work and school)
Went to the pool and met up with Alicen, Michell, McKayla. The person who the house belonged to, wasnt home. She was just glad that someone was using her pool. I am a baby when it comes to water. It took me about 10 minutes to get in. (A bit more dificult for guys to deal with cold water, ahem)
It was nice. We had also picked up some huge pizzas. The biggest pizzas I ever held. It was 36 by 42 inches. (3ft-3.5 intch) It was pretty good too.
We ate as soon as we got to the pool. Alicen made a big deal of Jeff buying just Coke zero and water. She wanted water but said to him that he was selfish for not getting other verity of sodas. 12 packs were 3.75 and 24 packs were 5 bucks. He was doing the economicle thing. Everyone else was o.k with it.
I showed off my underwater skills, doing flips and handstands and gymnist moves. *grin* We hit around the volley ball but I was getting bored so sat on the steps. I kept moving up till I eventually sat on a chair just out side of the pool. Meanwhile, not realizing it, my shoulders and back were burning. I got a nice sunburn.
After the pool we went home, relaxed and showed. Alicen had to get ready to go out. She had a sudy date. She's going to school for a combo masters and doctorate degree on top of holding a very demanding job. (superviser for a company who does home counseling-teaching for children with autism)
The city they live in has their 4th of July the weekend before which was this weekend.
Jeff, myself, the twins and Alicen's dad went. It was not for me. It was a redneck type fair. They had tracter trailer races and and kids could ride on them. (not while they were racing), pig races and people with guns walking around. We brought a blanket to lay on because there was fireworks later. Jeff thought they would be going off at 9 but it ended up being 10. In the mean time, Alicen's dad kept buying the girls junk food and anything else they had that he thinks they'd want. Face pant, glow sticks, magic wan thingies, fried dough, icecream, french fries, cotten candy and a bite of his sausage.
Eventually 10 PM came and over a PA system, some lady sang the national anthum. We all stood. I sang softly. and as she said "and the rocket's red glair" the fireworks show began. It lastede about 10 minutes and it was so loud, I had to cover my ears.Let me tell you, the only fun part of fireworks, is the colors and shapes you see. If you cant see, it sounds like a baradge of gun shots going off continuisly for 10 )or longer) minutes. Not fun.
The girls were happy though and that is what counted this weekend.
We got home and when I was getting changed I heard one of the girls getting sick. Alicen was yelling at Jeff for feeding her all that junk food. I didnt leave the room I was staying in, till Jeff was going down to make himself some ravs because we never ate dinner and here it was almost midnight. Alicen joined us, she had a little snack as we were eating our ravs. She asked about her white pants and if jeff could wash the pants she was wearing, tomorrow. He said he would do it after he cleans up from cooking-eating. She went to bed soon after. I told them both about how my poems are up to 184 and they were amazed. When I graduated college 9 years ago, I had about 20. I also told them about my play I am writing. They loved the story line.

Sunday Jeff myself and the girls went to Toy Story 3. It was really good. Highly recogmended.
Went for Chinese food after that. yummy. We went to my fav restaurant so I PIGGED OUT

I got hugs from the girls as we were parting along with cute "i love you uncle jonny" awww, melts my heart every time.

OH! and their favorite song is "tick tock" by "kesha" I never heard of this song before and although it's not apropriate for kids, they have no idea what they are singing but know almost every word and they sing it so cuuuttteee.
My favorite line they do is "Ain't got no money in my pocket, but I'm already here"

I don't get many comments anymore either. I don't always comment when I read cause (get this) I don't always have something to say. I was just thinking the other day that bloop had gotten a little boring because so many folks are on private these days.

I don't get very many comments either, but the ones I do are from the people I care about, and that's fine by me!!

Your nieces sound so cute!! Sounds like you had a good weekend

Haha, Kesha isn't very appropriate for kids but my daughter (who is 8) loves her. She absolutely loves her. So I let her listen to the censored/radio appropriate songs and I forbid her to listen to them online.

People on private meaning that their diaries are not available for strangers to read. And yeah... sometimes I don't have anything to say. I suppose I could put things like "sounds fun" or "that's sad" but that's kinda lame and I feel like I would be putting things like that down just because I felt OBLIGATED to comment you.
