And the saints come marching home... with the title

02/07/2010

Superbowl sunday was a super sports day.

I watched the Washington caps take on their rival the Pitsburg Penguins.
I am not a big hockey fan but this was a game I wanted to listen to. I was not disapointed. (except the final score) It was a high scoring physical game that saw a few good fights. The super star players for each team, Sidney Crosby and Alex Avetchcan scored 2 and 3 goals respectively. It went into over time after 60 minutes the game was tied at 4. In over time, the Caps scored to put another W on the board.

At 2;30 I turned the channel to a basketball game showdown between my home team Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magics. The Celtics made it look pretty easily for the first 2.5 quarters but then as the C's were up 11, it seems as they forgot how to put the ball in the hoop. They got smacked around and although the final score does not reflect it, because they tried again the last few minutes, they went from being up 11 to down 17. The ended up losing. It was frustrating as a celtics fan.

This is the first SB that I didn't watch in the last 10 years. I detest both teams. IMHO, Brady is STILL the best QB playing the game today and in the top 4-5 of all time.

I wouldn't argue about Montana being the greatest QB of all time at all. You can't argue with 4 SB rings and a decade of more of domination. Marino was also great. They just never quite got all the pieces together.

And yeah, I definitely think Brady has a couple more left in him.

If I had to name the 3 greatest QB's ever...I would prolly say Montana, Unitas, and Bradshaw.

I didn't watch the Superbowl. I usually don't except for the commercials, but I had to work. Yuck. I'm just glad that this year I didn't have to share my birthday celebration with it. lol
