Boston Marathon bomber caught, BOSTON STRONG!

04/19/2013

After a long night that started with a MIT campous police officer ambushed, a car hijacked and lead a police chase into the city of Watertown, at one point, firing 200 rounds at officers where one dies, and throwing a bomb out the window, the same that was used at the marathon, then rammed into-through police cars and they start to fill in-block streets. Eventually they get out and the older brother was on the ground (somehow?) and the younger brother got into another car and drove over his brother and sped away till he couldnt go any further and abanded the car and excapt by foot. The Police blocked off a 20 block area and combed the area with police by the thousins. A band of about 50 police officers went door-todoor to make sure that first, all the residents were ok and secondly, to make sure the suspect wasnt hiding in their house.

In the mean time (in the halls of justice)
Reporters were interviewing people who knew the MIT officer, people who knew the younger brother, the one who was on the loose and residents of this town.

The father of the two suspects was reached by phone and calmed that his boys are setup and that they are "angels" and wouldnt do anything like that.
His brother, uncle of the two men said that they are "losers" and have had no contact with them since 2006. A reporter asked what the men were like, he said that again, the last time he had anything to do with them was when they were younger and back then they were nice boys. he said he didnt know what had happened. The last question someone asked was how he felt about America. He said how much he loves america, how it gavepeople opritunity to succeed.
An interview with a person in the younger man's circle of friends, said that he was a quiet kid, kept to himself but always was kind, would say hi to everyone. Loved soccer and would go to soccer matches with him. Just last monday, two mondays ago, the friend needed a ride to the game and this man drove him.

Eventually a 6 city lockdown was lifted and people were allowed to leave their homes. A man who has a boat parked in his yard went out because he saw some blood on the boat and so when he went to open it, he saw a bloody body in side. He went in and called 911.

At this time,, my father and I was listening on his police scanner. It was quite amazing to hear how it was all set up and how it all played out.
Playing police officers in spacific locations, calling in varius squads. A hellacoptor with a heat-seeking devise confirming there was a body in the boat. They used another devise to be able to find out where the gas tank was of the boat was, how big it was (40G) and how much gas was in the tank (20G) They also, at one point, said there was an oderless vaper that was detected and there was a little fire as well. all of this was over a 45 min spand, it was slowly unfolding. I learned after it all, that there was an exchange of firing of guns. Eventually they closed in on him and with a fire truck and an ambalins in the drive way, they were able to get him out of the boat and onto a stretcher. That part I didnt hear, just a bunch of police officers saying "we got him!" "He's captured!" and things like that.

The most emotional part of this entire thing for me?
I heard over the police scanner, the Mayor of Boston, Thomas Manino, who is the most loved mayor in the history of this great city, who's recovering from a broken leg and who's health is declining said...

and the next thing on the scanner you hear a police officer say proudly "We did it for you boss"
Just typing that out all these hours later, still brings a tear to my eyes.

BOSTON UNITES

BOSTON MY HOME
I LOVE BOSTON!

I can't even imagine what it's like living there right now, we are watching in disbelief from Australia - how terrifying. But one thing we are watching and very very much happy to see is how you're all uniting. How when bombs were going off people ran TOWARDS. That was heart warming and beautiful to see, everyone coming together.

I am glad they got him, but I can't understand and I never will, why people choose to do this. It makes NO sense to me at all. I am just glad you are safe, I'm so sorry for those that aren't, and I am praying that peace will once again reign in Boston. It won't be long.
