Boston Marathon Massacre

04/15/2013

Today, Monday April 15th, 2013, was suppose to be a happy day in Boston, ended up being a horific day.

In Massachusetts and Maine, today is a holiday. Today is Patriot's day. It was this day in 1775 when Paul Revere made his famous ride.
Children have school off and many companies are closed.

Starting in 1896, Boston held it's first "Boston Marathon". 117 years later, it is the longest continual Marathon in the world.

In 1946, the Boston Red Sox played a special 10AM game start. 67 years later, the Red Sox still play a morning start 11AM (some years it's 10AM) so when the game is completed, they can go catch the rest of the Boston Marathon.

23,000 race partisapants from Boston and around the world for both compatition and for charity prepare to race this morning.
This 26.2 mile race is lined with a few million people to cheer on friends, families and perfect strangers.

The Boston Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays in the bottom of the 9th, 3-2.
Tonight, the Boston Bruins were scheduled to play at 7pm.
In between, was suppose to be just another Boston Marathon. Unfortunately, this day was anything but normal.

At 2:50 PM a bomb went off near the finish line, sending glass, smoke and bodies everywhere. 10 seconds later, a second bomb went off a few hundred feet away.

At this time, 8:30pm, 2 confirmed dead and 118 injured.
Some of these injuries as damage to ear drums to limbs blown off.

I pray they capture who was behind this and throw the law book at them.

Boston and it's people are strong and we will bounce back from this.

thoughts and prayers... thank you

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

What a scary day. It's sad to see what our country has turned into. What a violent world we live in. I hope they figure out who did this.

I think they should be able to fix it for you Kimberly. They did for stealth and said they could for you as well. I can't wait!

I am so distraught by this horrible incident. It boggles my mind to try and understand how anyone could be so callous and heartless as to cause so much devastation and heartache to people.

My heart goes out to all the people affected by this tragedy.

I messeged you first off...right away I came on here to see if you were ok. I wish there was another way, something more reliable.
