When I woke up today and looked at the ESPN.com headlines, I woke right up with happy news. A player who I've been hoping my red sox would aquire for the last 2 years, was in the process of doing so. Adrian Gonzalez, a power hitting first baseman who is only 28 years old is coming to boston in exchange for 3 minor leaguers. This will be sign and completed in time for him to be wearing a red sox uniform for the christmas at fenway which I will be attending next saturday. In the winter of 2003, when I went to the christmas at fenway, a big surprise showed up in curt schilling and he walked past me and said hi to me. I was so excited then and now the prospect of that happening again, wow.
Tonight was my temple's chanukah party. I wasnt going to go but I figured why not. I got nothing going on. No games on. So I went. There was about 20 adults and 40 kids there. It was nice. They had food and a saturday night survice first, then lighting the minorah with blessings and the rabi told stories of what each candle stands for. We were there for 3 hours. Most of which I was sitting by myself or with older people (no one there is my age) so I was bored and if not for the very good food, I would have rather not have gone.
We came home, lit the candles and I'm not sure how many people remember the group "gin blossom" but I am a pretty big fan of theirs. I have seen them in concert about 6 times and own all their 3 previous full cds so when they came out with a cd in Sept, I told my mom I would wait and get it for chanukah. So I got "no chocolate cake" for chanukah. That's the name of the cd.
I am going to help my mom role hotdogs for our huge chanukah party tomorrow. We are expecting about 40 people. so... nighty night for now. See you back here tomorrow for a report on the 5th night plus chanukah party
