excuse me while I pintch myself

10/01/2009

first, thank you all who filled out the survey on my last entry. It was actually pretty insiteful. If you have not done it, you still can and it will be apreciated just as much. I didn't realize how many really do love my poetry writings. I have ideas for two more, just waiting for my finger tips to type them out.

okok, so good news, than exciting news, hmm no wait, that's not fare. They're both exciting news to me.

First... I HAVE A DATE!
Her name is Naomi, she is Jewish, is 35, works with blind people and is going to grad school for rehabilitation counseling.

When at my nephew's birthday party last sunday, my best friend John, and I were sitting out side talking by a camp fire he made in his backyard. He was on his I-phone, and asked me for my jdate.com password (jewish dating site) He wanted to search for me. He found this woman who works with blind people so he sent what is called a "flirt". it is a pre-written one-liner from someone who works on the site. So he sent one that read "I would like to share some uncomfortable silence" It's not one I would have chosen, but what ever. However, she wrote to me, we wrote a few times and she said that maybe we can meet after work next Tuesday. so? another email back and fro and here I am.

Next Tuesday, after work, I'm going to meet her at a pizza place on the beach that over looks the beach. If it is nice out, (ya right, Oct in new england?) they have a patio seating area. she says she "loves loves loves the ocean" so... why not? I'm not so sure about the pizza part on a first date because I'm a picky eater. My mom had suggested it.

If the date goes well, we can take a walk and grab icecream and eat it on the wall of the beach. There is something about her. hmm She seems more mature than any lady I ever been out with before. It maybe the 35 years old, part, but I dont know. Well, I'm excited.

As most people know, side-by-side with my devotion, obsession, passion of baseball, is the music of Bon Jovi.
I am embarrassed to say that I did not know of this till my mom told me this tonight at dinner (but I dont read news papers, listen to regular radeo or look at amazon.com)

BON JOVI HAS A NEW CD COMING OUT!
NOVEMBER 10!
The single is already out, so maybe you already heard it, it's called "We weren't born to follow" I just listened to it on youtube.com. It is awesome. It's so Bon Jovi-ish, the rockers. The new cd is called "The Circle" which, after 25 years of rocking this world, and next year they should be voted into the Rock and Role hall of fame, it just fits.

I found the lyrics to the new single, so here it is. and ... by the way, I AM SO EXCITED!

WE WEREN'T BORN TO FOLLOW
BON JOVI

This one goes out to the man who minds the miracles
This one goes out the ones in need
This one goes out the sinner and the cynical
This ain't about no apology
This road was paved by the hopeless and the hungry
This road was paved by the winds of change
Walking beside the guilty and the innocent
How will you raise your hand when the call your name?

Yea, Yea, Yea,
We Weren’t born to follow
Come on and get up off your knees
When life is a bitter pill to swallow
You gotta hold on to what you believe
Believe that the sun will shine tomorrow
And that’s a saints and sinners pleas
We weren’t born to follow
You gotta stand up for what you believe
Let me hear you say
Yea, Yea, Yea, ooooohhh,, Yea

This ones about anyone who does it differently
This ones about the one who doesn’t sit and spits
This ain’t about our living in a fantasy
This ain’t about giving up or giving in

Yea, Yea, Yea,
We Weren’t born to follow
Come on and get up off your knees
When life is a bitter pill to swallow
You gotta hold on to what you believe
Believe that the sun will shine tomorrow
And that’s a saints and sinners pleas
We weren’t born to follow
You gotta stand up for what you believe
Let me hear you say
Yea, Yea, Yea, ooooohhh,, Yea

Let me hear you say
Yea, Yea, Yea, oooohhhhh, Yea

“Guitar”

Yea, Yea, Yea,
We Weren’t born to follow
Come on and get up off your knees
When life is a bitter pill to swallow
You gotta hold on to what you believe
Believe that the sun will shine tomorrow
And that’s a saints and sinners pleas
We weren’t born to follow
You gotta stand up for what you believe
Let me hear you say
Yea, Yea, Yea, ooooohhh,, Yea

Yay! That's exciting! She sounds like your kind of woman! I hope things turn out well! Pizza overlooking the beach sounds awesome!

I didn't know Bon Jovi was coming out with a new cd either!

ryn: Yeah I like them a bit. Not one of my all time faves, but definitely good music.
