Fading tattoo: heart and a dagger that says "Forever"

11/06/2009

Hi people, so I guess I'll give ya a real update.

WORK
Has been going really well. I am really feeling like a part of a team instead of playing a drum in an orchestra. I am helping out with filling out documents with the clients. It is chalenging, these' folk's comprehention level is hmm not so great but a lot of simplifying of questions, rephraising questions, or making them 'yes-no" questions and having them explain to me why.

We got a new client in the house. I volunteered to sit down with him first to explain the house and what some of the rules are and what our expectations are of him. My boss took me and the guy who is second in charge, told him what she would like of him, asked me what I was going to do, asked who wanted to go first, and asked if we had any questions. "yes, just one.... do you know what his diagnosis is?" no, we did not get his file yet. so I think... he could be a paranoia schizophrenic murderer who thinks that I am going to ask him question to give to the FBI to find out what the Russians were doing in 1962? ... and he could kill me? great.

It went very well though. Hey, I am alive writing this, right?
After our meeting the house ate dinner while I was writing up our conversation. I was going to run a group after dinner with the house. My boss had asked me what I was going to do. I told her an ice breaker, so we can learn about the new client and the new client can learn about us. She thought that was a good idea.
I Had the new client introduce himself. I then went around the room, they had to say their name, something about themself and something they like about the house. Out of the 6 clients, 3 said "the house is pretty" "the house is big" "The house is near the ocean" umm not quite what I had in mind for answers, but eh, ok. One client said that he likes the house because everyone gets along and there is no violents.

Today I did a document with the new client. He could not read or write well so I ended up reading from my computer, and relaying him the question. It was very frustrating for me. He was not giving me answers I wanted and I kept rephraising the questions. One question was "what simptoms would let the doctors know you are feeling well to go home." (the previous question was, about going to the hospital) He said "they know by the reading on the machines" umm that was not a simptom. He did not understand the word simptom. He somewhat answered the question after I asked it a different way, he said "by the answers I give to their questions" hmm much better. Not quite the answer I wanted but, eh, good enough.

After they had dinner I did an exersize with them using a forwarded email I got from my NJ cousin.
It was a list of beliefs. I would say the belief, they would have to tell me if they believe it or not, and explain their answer.
"I believe, money is not a good way to keepp score."
One client says "well it depends"

Sports:
Baseball is over. It has not fully hit me yet. I am sure it will in the next two ddays though. When I want to listen to a baseball game and there is none on.
Basketball: the boston celtics are one of two teams that is still undefeated. The other team plays home in the mile high air.
Football: the patriots are going to chew up and spit out the dolphins on sunday. I'm going to watch the game with my twin and his wife at a restaurant where apatizers are half price on sundays.
Hockey: I hear the boston bruins have been up-down but the team I root for, the pits pens, are the best team in all hockey... or so I am told.

Feeling
I was feeling down the other day, but between an email from my nj cousin, my 4 year old nieces calling me up and leaving me messages, ending with "I love you uncle jonny. byebye" and a good day at work, I feel better.

WRITING CONTEST
I am up to 8723 words... yay go me!
I just hope I dont get bored of the story and I can finish it.

My sister
My younger sister put a bid on a house. It is a small house but great for a single person's first home. plus it has a view of the ocean.

jdate
In the last day, I got a few winks, to look at profiles but from women who live in CA, TN and FL. umm why not from MA? And I wrote them, but they never wrote me back. oh well. I'm still a loser.

????????
hmm did I miss anything? dont know. Ask me questions if you want to know something.

Have a good day.
Jonathan

181 more days till I see bon jovi

Staring at your window with a suitcase in my hand
John Bon Jovi

You think you know me just because you know my name
You think you see me 'cause you've seen every line on my face
You want to want me just because I say that I want you
But does it matter if anything I'm saying is the truth
You need somebody, somebody to hold on to
But this ain't the movies and we ain't heroes

Chorus:
Staring at your window with a suitcase in my hand
The streetlights buzz as the cars roll by and the moon don't give a damn
My boots just keep on walkin', but my heart don't understand
Why I'm staring at your window with a suitcase in my hand

I said I want you, but when we woke up one of us was crying
You rolled over and all you said was -
"Man, I think I'm dying"
Our song is over, this band of gold has been feeling like a noose
You place your bets, 'cause no one thinks they'll lose

Chorus

The light of love can blind you 'til you cover up your eyes
And you try to find the reason not to say good-bye
It's the curse of every sailor standing on dry land
Staring at your window with a suitcase in my hand

The night is fading, like my old tattoo A heart and a dagger, that says "Forever"

LOL I hate when I ask someone and they give an answer that completely misses the question entirely. haha It's frustrating, but it's kinda funny at the same time

I have to disagree about the pittsburg penguins. the detroit RED WINGS are the best team of all time. ♥Lacy

From wikipedia: The Red Wings are one of the most popular hockey franchises in North America, so much that fans and analysts have nicknamed Detroit "Hockeytown." The Red Wings have won the most Stanley Cup championships (11)[1] of any NHL franchise based in the United States, and are third overall in total NHL championships, behind the Montreal Canadiens (24) and Toronto Maple Leafs (13).
