feeling unmotivated, day 7, reconnecting on fb

"I oughta be working but i can't concentrate
I oughta be sleeping, instead of staying up late
When I oughta be doing all the things I should do
I think about you"
(Bryan adams, I think about you)

I aught to be studying but I just can't get myself to. I am thinking of everything else. I even set myself up in my living room where there is no tv, radeos or anything.

Day One: 10 different things you want to say to 10 different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you'd never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever)
Day Seven: Four turn-offs.
Day Eight: Three turn-ons.
Day Nine: Two images that describe your life right now, and why.
Day Ten: One confession.

Day Seven: Four turn-offs.

1. egocentric people. I dont like "me" people and I have 2 of them as siblings.
2. Ignorant people. Unfortunately, I cross paths with them every day of my life.
3. People who when you give them a gift that they love, don't express it.
4. Adults (people who are 22+) who purposely drink to get waisted and people who do drugs.

I am having a hard time trying to start this next part...

Jody, 40ish, Jewish, loves sports, simular music and we have known each other for about 15 years.
She is divorced with 2 young children, is a talker x10 and outgoing x10. Never is afrade to say what is on her mind...no matter what.
We have gone to baseball games together including a trip to NY to see a Mets game. We have gone to see Bryan Adams together a few times and I think my mom knew I had a crush on her before I knew it lol. Did I mention she is beautifully sexy?
We have this great relationship but she seemed to be too "mature" in ways. Maybe it was the age difference. Anywho, we have not talked in a few years and she found me on FB yesterday...

Jonathan:
well hello old friend
It is nice you found me on here.
(dont tell alysa, I didnt friend her. I was never "friends" with her)
Looking over your profile, which you prob wrote a while ago, I see that you havent changed at all and the way you described yourself is the way I see you. Which, is interesting to me. (although you should edit out the Manny ramirez, he is retired now lol)
730+ friends? do you friend everyone you come in contact with? lol

no need to check espn on boston sports news, lol I usually update on my posts. I am new on here as you prob know so still trying to figure out all the ins-outs of it but I got the basic down.

Last time Bryan adams was in town, I wanted to go and thought of calling you but I was like... she has her busy life, and she has seen him so many times now, she wont want to go anymore.

I have thought about you and wondered what you've been up to from time to time and now... I dont have to wonder.
take care *huge hugs*
Jonathan

Jody:
Hey! I was out for your mom's birthday last night with the rest of the 'old ladies' and asked if you were online line yet. LOL

I actually was thinking of you a year ago. I run this program with a woman who is a professor at Salem State College, and a mom of a boy in my daughter Gillian's class who has albinism along with legal blindness. The program is called DASH which stands for Disability Awareness Starts Here. I think the superintendent came to us because we both have children with disabilities although neither of the boys see themselves that way! Each grade is taught through simulation what it is like to have a certain disability and what to do if you encounter someone with one. Anyway, we do not like the guest speaker for the blindness unit and I was going to reach out to you...nice thing is you would have been paid!

My friends come from all over the place...some elementary school, some sleep away camp, USY right up to my ski house, my summer getaway house and all other walks of life I am involved in.

Bryan Adams, huh? Don't ever hesitate to call me! I would see him a dozen more times if I could!

Regarding Ilysa....no worries. I'm not that close with her either. I don't socialize with her that often just occasionally when our mom's are getting together and inviting me along.

So, when you say 'old' friend...are you referring to my age or someone you have known for a long time? LOL

We should definitely get together one night. I am busy packing the kids for camp but I can definitely find time to head out for a bite or something. Yes, my life gets interesting here on facebook but I use it all for fun and games.

Oh, btw: your mom showed me your target practice video! Nice!!! I'm envious and would love to try that some time.

xoxo....Jody

Jonathan:
Hello young long time friend

Yes, we'll have to get together soon. (Chinese food?)
It would have been nice to talk to your group about my disability and always willing to if I'm not busy.

When I was a freshman in HS, in my English class we read "the miricle worker". Upon completion, my teacher came to me and asked if I would sit in front of my class and talk about my disabilities. Being a shy kid, I was unsure but did it anyways. I talked about how I became blind, how I have coped and (the part the kids loved the most) I showed them my authentic 1800th Braille writer. I also typed out the Alphibet in braille for each of my classmates.
My teacher was so impressed, she asked if I would do it for her other classes. ... and the remaining time at HS.

When I got to college, I was a part of organizing a "disability awareness day" at Salem State College and was asked to do so for my 4 years there.

Coincidentally, Justin's best friend, who is a librarian, told me today that he is going to be attending a confrence on making libraries more assessable for people with disabilities.

OH! and one of my graduate thesis was on "EFFECT OF TEACHERS KNOWLEDGE OF INCLUSION ON STUDENTS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES"

My other thesis was on sports... would you expect anything else from me? lol

The Bryan Adams concert was acoustic. That would have been very nice.

Red Sox beat the damn yankees so needless to say, I'm a happy camper tonight

Talk to you soon and let me know when you have a blank spot on your calendar

XOXOX Jonathan

p.s. I shot an 9mm, 22 caliber and a 45 caliber

It's amazing the people you can find on Facebook! I've found a lot of people on there that I knew from ages ago. (well, it seems like ages to me...lol)

Sometimes people who find you are drab and boring and you didn't really want to find them or reconnect with them and then you feel a little guilty when you kick them off your FB. lol
