Grace Anne, Cardinals 2011 champs, now what?

10/29/2011

Hello fello bloopers. I'm here because I actually have things to talk about.

Yesterday I went over to my best friend's house to hold my newest niece, Grace Anne.
My mom and I got her a fleece PJ, a blanket and something else. We brought the mommy an ice cream. (Kat loves ice cream like I love baseball) I got her, her favorite flavor too. cookie dough ice cream.

When we first arived, John wasnt home, he was picking up Holden. He was over his Grand mother's house. They were trying to keep it as normal as posible for Holden.

John and Holden came in. Holden doesnt say "hi" or "hello" the first words out of his mouth is "where's mama?" eventually we got a hello from him.
My mom told Holden that there is a bag over there for him. (It's a trick or treet bag) There was some candy and a puzzle of dogs that he thought was horses. It took a lot of convincing before he believed them. So after eating a bunch of candy and did the puzzle with my mom, he gave his sister a kiss then he ran and got his toybox of cars. He started pulling out a bunch of cars and John was on the floor with him. Racing the cars. My mom was holding Grace all this time and I got to hold her when my mom eventually was willing to let me hold my niece for the first time, I could not believe how small she was. Kat said that she weighed in yesterday at 7-6. I was thinking from time to time... I was only 4-3 when I was born. I can't imagine how little I was. I rocked her, and talked to her, and felt her little toes and little fingers. And listened to John and Holden racing te cars across the room, hitting against the wall and Holden screaming "I win!" and all the while, the entire time I was holding Grace, she didnt cry, or fuss or even squerm. She was stretching her legs a lot. At one point she had her feet placed on my legs as if she wanted to stand... silly girl. I did sit her up and had her facing her brother racing the cars. Eventually ... after 2 hours, we figured we should leave as it was nearing dinner time. I said my byes to Kat, John nd Grace. I dropped to my knees and said "Holden, can I have a hug?" he ran over to me and gave me this huge hug. I picked him up and said bye and said something hmm to make him laugh and put him back down. he goes "can I give you a kiss?" I smiled and let him peck my cheek and then he ran away. Kat thanked me for coming over and the gifts and the ice cream.

GAME 7 2011 WORLD SERIES!
TEXAS RANGERS --- ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

After game 6's excitement, of the rangers going ahead in both the 9th and 10th innings by two and both times, the Cards coming one strike from losing, managed 2 runs each inning continuing the game. The rangers not scoring in the top of the 11h and David Freese, a local kid hitting a walk off home run to send the series to a game 7.

Gave seven started off the way game 6 left off, with the Rangers scoring in the top of the first and the Cards scoring in the bottom of the first. However, it was all Cardinals from then on out as cris Carpinter pitched into the 7th, shutting out the Rangers after the first inning. Freese continued his magic and the bullpen picked up where carpinter left off, putting up zeros. one of the unlikely heros, Allan Craig hit a home run to break the 2-2 tie and the Cards go on to win, 2-6.

It was the St. Louis cardinals's 11 championship as a franchize.

Don't be sad. It will be back before we know it. Well, I say that now cause it's only been one day. Next week may be a different story.

I didn't watch any of the world series, even though I normally do. I've been soooo dang busy! Ugh.

Eww. Don't say snow! I'm not ready for that garbage yet! haha

I'm already a bit obsessive about baseball. So much so that when I'm at work I talk to the girls about it even though I know they don't care, lol. Just cause I have to talk about it

Just focus on football
