Holiday shopping

Chanukah starts tomorrow night. Thursday is the first Thanksgivukkah. Sunday is my family’s annual Chanukah party.

Thanksgivukkah is over my twin’s house.
Family Chanukah party is at my house.

Yesterday my mom offered to take me holiday shopping since she had to go to a bunch of stores. I was not too prepared but others I was set on what I wanted to buy.
This year, instead of the Siblings and significant others buying gifts for each other. We decided on a Hidden Harry…a secret Santa for the Jews.
So this way, we don’t have to spent 30 x5 but rather, we agreed to do 50 X 1.

My mom pulled the names and emailed everyone who they got. I got Stacie, my sister’s wife.

I didn’t want to buy her just gift cards, so I messaged her best friend Jess to see what Stacie may want. She told me, “you know Stacie is plane. The only thing I could suggest is DND, Coke or Butlight.” Ug, lol. That didn’t help.

So after 5 hours, 8 stores and over $150 spent, and that is with all things on sale, I did pretty good.

I ended up getting my sis in law Stacie a GC for DND and for Target, her fav store. Plus a DND mug.

My best friend and I just agreed to take each other out for dinner at person’s choice.
I got my niece Grace (my best friend’s daughter) a cat that meows and pers and moves. She loves cats and now will have one of her own
I got my nephew Holden (My best friend’s son) two dinosaurs that makes sounds and moves.
We have a Red Sox swap for the Chanukah party. I bought two large containers of coffee for that.
I go over John’s mother’s house for Christmas. I bought two boxes of different flavors chocolates to bring over.
I have a great idea for my friend TX Lisa, My best friend’s sister. I’m going to get her a gc for southwest air. She is always talking about wanting to come home and not having the money so there’s a start.
Her son Devin, who’s 3. I’m going to get him maybe a PJ set and a toy or something else.

My sibs and I are putting in money to get my parents a $150 cg to a very nice restaurant.
I’m unsure of what to get my nephew Devin, my twin’s son. I may have my mom pick out something and I’ll just pay for it.

I usually get my boss a gift and my coworkers a $5 DND GC for Christmas. My boss is no longer there and I only have one real consistent coworker. So I’ll prob get her a $10 DND GC.
