My aunty Sarah invited her family over to my house for dinner. So Aunty Sarah, Cousin Heidi and younger cousin Jalen came over for dinner. My mom made a mexican dinner. She made fajitas, refried beans, narchos and a mix of chicken, rice, beans and anything else she found in the fridge and for me, she heated up broccoli cheese rice from the night before.
It was nice and the food was good. I had stake, onions, green peppers, jalapino peppers and good old origenal from my town, A1 sauce rapped up in a rap. It was good.
Most of the talk was about Jalen's Bar Mitzvah that will be December of 2011. The theme will either be Red Sox, baseball or baseball hall of fame. So with this talk, we brought out the photo albumb from my twin's and mine Bar Mitzvah 19 years ago.
When ever people look at photo albumbs, it makes me sad.
It reminds me that I can not see and I dont remember what people look like or a lot of people use pictures as visual reminders so a lot of people that I dont remember the names of so to me, I dont remember them at all.
My mom and her sister went through the Bar Mitzvah photo albumb pointing out who's dead, who's divorce and how much people have changed in appearance. My mom saying while pointing "he's dead, she's dead, they're divorce" etc. I said to Heidi "I see dead people" we broke out laughing. In my mind I am thinking... who's dead? she never said who she was pointing at. So I have no idea.
So it was frustrating for me
She then brought out her wedding albumb. My parents got married when my mom was 19 and my dad was 21 so it was a long time ago. So although my mom was saying more names, I didnt know anyone. She wasnt saying who was dead because prob 90 % of the people are dead now so instead she was trying to think of who everyone was.
It was nice though, to hear some of the stories.
I am going to post a poem which I wrote a while ago because it fits the entry.
My twin and his wife went to Bahama for their 5th wedding anaversery. Justin didnt tell her till they got to the airport. I wish I could see her reaction. It was funny though. For the last few months, we kept telling her that she's going to alaska. People in her work had a pool going of where she was going.
They're coming home tonight at midnight. So for the last few days we have had their dog, Lucic. When he is cuddling, he's good, other wise, he's a pain. So he's nice to have for a day-night but beyond that, he can be too much.
I hope you all have a wonderful day-evening and remember, time passes and people get older and eventually, everyone in the photo albumbs are gone.
AND please, try never to take your vision for granted.
