Beyond Belief
by A RedSox Fan

I told you this month would fly by

12/14/2011

Here we are and it's already the 14th of December. I cant believe it!

first... the stuff that makes me all guity and scream with excitement.

Saturday tickets for the Red Sox went on sale. They sell them in packs of 4 games. (clever, putting the good games with the bad games) I was hoping for the opening day package and my second choice was a pack of tickets that has a yankee game and an Angel game who now has MR. pujols.
I
I was able to get the opening day pack... and the other pack.
Jonathan = happy happy joy joy

That's not all...

As people may (or probably may not know) the NBA was in a lockout so there was no basketball games being played. so yada yada, they settled and all that jazz and tickets went on sale today.

There is a basketball player named Jason Kidd. I have actually been following him since he was in high school. (He played in the mcdonalds all American hs game) and saw him play a few times in college and so when he went to the pros, I said he would be my favorite player. Every single year, (his first year was the 95-96 season) I have seen him play. This year, I thought it would be very dificult. I had tried yesterday, when I got a pre-sale thingy from the celtics's website but I also saw a special pre order thingy for american express card members. So yesterday I tried to call both times and got nothing. I was feeling sad and was going to try ebay or one of those things. I even went to ebay and there was tickets but at spiked prices. Then I thought... disability line!
So I call the disability line and the guy told me the tickets go on sale tomorrow. I was like dah, of course, today's stuff was pre - sales.

So todaydec 14th, I called at 2 mins before 11 ... and got a recording that the office is opened during business hours. 11AM-7PM hmm So I call back at exactly 11. I get through right away. I ask for the game I wanted. and they had it. so pressing my luck, I asked if they had opening night as well (first game of the season) and he asked how many tickets. so I got two games. One for me and my twin, one for me and my older bro. They will be there Chanukah gifts. (extremely expensive gifts) I'm so excited I get to continue to see my boy, Jason Kidd.

WORK STUFF

hmm there was an issue at work over a month ago now. I dont know the entire story but one of the clients miss-understood two staff members and filed a complaint. Not only do my people have mental illnesses, one of them are not from america and although he has been here for 20 years, there is still a culture and language barrier.
On top of that, my co-workers are also not from america and even though they are smart, they have language barriers too.

SO... my boss, forwarded an email from her boss, asking if I could do a group on cultural differences. I am happy to do so.
Not that I needed it, but I actually had a counseling class when I was in college on this particular topic. I formed my outline in about 3.4 seconds and when I went to work last week, I shared my idea with my coworker and she was very excited about my idea.

I think it will happen next week, probably on Wednesday.
We'll talk about everything from interpretations of body languages, to understanding someone's limited vocab, to even... our fav foods (latkis, yummy) . we have to make it fun some where.
I'll let you know how it goes.

*************

I'm not even sure how to say this but my mom said something to me that really really realyy mad me angry. not just mad but angry.

So we're sitting having dessert, my parents and I, and my father says to my mom "dont forget to take your pills" (I guess my mom is on some type of anti depression meds.)

(remember what happened on January 20th, 2011 in my life)

and my mom says "well, if I kill someone you'll know why" I said "mom dont say that" she didnt get the hint and said it again, and I just said "mom stop" she repeated again" and I raised my voice slightly and said "mom, please, stop." . I dont even know why she would even say those insensitive words when she knows what I went through on that nightmare day.

*************

hmm so 65 more hours till my younger cousin has his Bar Mitzvah. woo hoo
I'm so excited for him. I'm a little nervous. I have to get up in front of 100 people and say a few prayers. One of them, I dont even remember and been asking my cousin to have her son call me to go over it with me.

Well, the fun will be when the night comes and there will be some drinking, and dancing and all that fun stuff. Although the kids have the real fun as they get to do all the games with the DJ. I'm sure they'll do the limbo and musical chairs and games like that.

Hopefully my NJ cousin and some of my cousin's friends (not from nj) will dance with me. the more time dancing the less time sitting and doing nothing. I'm really sure my sis in law will ask me to dance a few as my twin doesnt dance.

I'll try to remember everything that happens so I can report back to you.

and sunday, my mom is having the out of state cousin's over for a brunch before they depart.

and believe it or not... chanukah starts next Tuesday night

untill next time...look at life from positive glasses and you will be positive too

This month needs to stop flying by. Today is the 1 year anniversary of my grandma's death. It's sad

Wow...that was very insensitive of your mom to say. How horrible!

Happy early Chanukah!

That's great about the baseball and basketball tickets. I know how happy that makes you. I hope you have fun at the Bar Mitzvah.
