HI people, Hope everyone is having beautiful weather like we are having up here in the north east.
I think I will start with talking about work.
Wednesday I went to work instead of my usual Tuesday. I helped out with the weekly house meeting. We talked about mold and how there is a posibility that there maybe some in the house. If there is, we would have to leave for a few days but we would get there when it comes to that.
I sat with one of the clients after that meeting. He told me that he exercize every day. That he walks 30 minutes to the train every morning. My coworker heard that and with all the emotion he had, ripped into the client about lying (because it's only a 5 minute walk) how he lies to his doctor. and his doctor is puzzled how the client's sugar is so high (he's diabetic) and why he ganged 12 lbs while everyone else in the house lost at least 20 lbs, one lost 35 lbs in the last 8 month. The client seemed as he didnt care by the tone in his voice and all he said was "I know" and I was like... you know but yet you dont do anything about your health we help you, ... my coworker rips again talking about how the house buys only healthy food and that it is costing the house 100 dollars more each month but it is only to get them to eat healthy but yet you (the client) goes to the corner store and buy candy and soda.
Thursday at work:
Thursday I got there a few minutes late. A client met me on the portch and told me Z is here. (Z is the peer specialist. I dont know how to spell her name so I just type Z) (Z has only been at work once in the last 6 weeks.) Z did her group with me guiding the group when needed. They basicly talked about doing things they dont believe they can do.
I chimed in with: "You know, people have told you guys your entire life that you can not do something so you believe them. So when someone says you can do something, you have no confidents and you give up before even trying. You have to stop listening to people when they say you cant do something and you just have to try it. If you want to do something, go ahead and try it. Dont quit before you try. After the group and Z had left, (she had told me that she was doing too much and it became overwelming for her, that's why she mixxed the last 3 weeks)
I talked to my coworker after talking to my boss. There was some mold found in the house and with all the rain we got over the weekend, they're afrade it is in the walls and under the floors. So we are going to be evacuating for 4 days up to 2 weeks. I told the boss that where ever the clients are on Tuesday and Thursday, I would try to get there. I want to keep the situation as normal as posible for the clients. Plus I want to be there for the clients. TO give them someone to talk about how the transition is going. We talked to the fclients about the issue and about packing up clothes, linnings, hygiene stuff and I chipt in with, if they had a radeo they wanted to bring, they should bring that too.
The first few days they are going to be in another group home After that, they are going to move to a hotel for the remaining time. All but one client took it well. A lot of questions, mostly about family members who want to contact them. The boss told them that we will give them the location and phone number to the location we'll be staying at. I left when my ride came, (my mom) and told the clients that I will see them either next week or if not, the week after. Two clients got up to shake my hand and thank me. ... I smile.
HOCKEY GAME.... Revenge is a B.
2 minutes into the game one of our players came on to the ice and with in five seconds, went to the player who knocked our player out, and through some punches, sending the 6-9 Penguin hard to the ice and got one more punch in for good measure. There was one more fight in the second period. Also the Bruins won the fights 2-0 the pens won on the score board 3-0. It was fun and I am glad I went to the game with my twin and his wife.
THE TRIP OF THE YEAR!
So as everyone knows by now, my twin and I are taking a trip to Canton Ohio to see my favorite football player Gerry rice, get inducted into the football HOF and the Hall of fame game.
Well he marked off another part of our trip. He rented a car for us.
Then he sent me in an email something that litterally made a teer of joy drop from my eyes.
Justin: "I think you mentioned this before, but on Sunday the Twins are playing in cleveland at 1pm. Also Pittsburgh Pirates' stadium is 2 hours from Canton and
the Rockies are playing there at 1:30. We have nothing scheduled until the football game sunday night so I think it is a possibility. The tough thing would be finding tickets, preferably cheap. In places like Cleveland and Pittsburg, I am sure it will be really tough. Probably have to buy scalp tickets
for $100 each. I say this in the purest of sarcasims. have you been to both these stadiums?"
Â
Me: pitsburg? are you freaking kidding me?
NO I HAVE NOT BEEN THERE!
and, I know you think just because fenway park tickets are 50 bucks each, we can prob get pits game tickets for about 10-15 bucks each.
Justin: and to answer your question, yes, yes we can go to Pittsburg. for real. would i joke with you about something as serious as #17?Â
When I was just 14 years old. I wrote down 3 goals I wanted to obtain in my life time. I called them my "life time goals"
1. to get married
2. to ern a doctorate degree.
3. to visit all major league stadiums.
It is just amazing to me that day by day, year by year my life time goals that I set for myself so many years ago, not only has not been altered, but the next degree I obtain, I will be able to cross off one of my life time goals and So we're going to see Major league stadium #17 for me!
I am so fortunate and luckey
P.S. I'm going on Sunday with my two brothers, my twin's wife and one of their friends for burgers and Alice in wonderland 3D
I still think my ticket should be 1-3rd the price since D2 or 3 dont matter to me. But than again, neither is D1. lol
