It has been a while since I have really updated after all these people dying around me. Unfortunate, and realistic of it, I also know a lot of people who know people who have died. in recent weeks.
Friday: was suppose to go out on a date. The woman canceled on me.
Instead I stayed home and listened to the basketball hall of fame induction. I feel like I am getting old. I knew everyone who was being honored. David Robinson, John Stocton and some guy name, Michael Jordan? You mayhave heard about him. It was awesome. I always get over welmed during those speaches.
Saturday: shh, It was my sssis in law's suprise 30th birthday party.
It was fun. Her brother is in Detroit and so when ever he comes, he likes to have a bbq and a surtain boston pizza place. So she thought she was going to her parent's house for a little family gathering and she walked into "SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTH! DAY!" There was about 40 friends and family members.
It was a nice time. Her father managed the grill. They had hotdogs, hamburgers, my mom brought stakes and a tray of different types of susi. (my sis in law's fav)
There was so much food and dessert, wow, they had everything from simple cookies to two cakes. (oh, her birthday cake had a picture of her as a little girl and a picture of her now, I am sure it looked cute) I'm not sure what she got for gifts. I know a friend of hers got her tickets to a CHicago bulls Boston Celtics games and my family (my idea) ... one of her closest friends lives in Chicago and has not seen her in a long time. She had mentioned last time she was at my house, she would love to go, but the air tickets would be too expensive. So my family gave her a south west gift card for 300 dollars. That will cover a round trip to Chi for her.. Her brother and his fiancee got her a piggy bank with a penny in it... and some dolar bills and I am sure they werent 1's. (I am so bad at this, but I can never think of the country her parents are from. but where ever it is, she always says she has to put money in her (name of country) fund. Now she has a piggy bank for it.
The party was breaking up, my family was the last to go. Since we were only about 10 minutes away from the casino, we went to the casino from her parent's house.
I had so much fun. My aunt, who doesnt have much money, played a little bit, but got more enjoying out of watching me play and telling me what I get after each play. I ended up winning 20 more dollars than what I went with. Not bag.
Sunday: A sports day from heaven. The Redsox had a double header and it was also the first sunday of the 2009 football season. What has Jonathan going to do? I took a radeo with headphones and my computer into the den where I could sit on the couch, put my feet up with my computer on my lap and put the football games on the tv and baseball on my radeo. Except for dinner, I did not move from there from 12;30 till 11;15pm. I listened to 3 baseball games (after the redsox games, put on the espn sunday night game of the week, and was flipping between a football game on Fox 25 and a gootball game on NBC. at 1pm at 4pm there was another game on and at 8;15 there was yet a third football game on. So I listened to 7 sporting events in one day. I was very very happy and contented.
Monday: my best friend had surgery to patch up a hernia under his belly button. called back a mental health hospital who I emailed my resume to last week. They had positions but not the supervision I was looking for and I sured up plans to go over a former coworker's place thursday night for dinner. Friday night starts the Jewish new year called "rosh hashana"
I am extremely excited for that. My NJ cousin is coming to stay with us. I have became very close with her since we first met 6 weeks ago. She is a caring, fun, loving, tomboy type lady. Unfortunately, my uncle Joe ruined the supprise. My mom, my uncle Joe Hayley and I was going to suprize the rest of the family but Joe had to open his big mouth. Either way, she'll be on route some time Friday. I can't wait to play her in some WE games, listen to music with her and just hang out with her. Even if we will be at Temple 1-3rd of the time she's here.
Did I mentioned in a past entry that I got tickets to see Everclear for the 5714th time? My twin, a friend of his and myself are going. Hayley likes them too and asked if I knew about a song they have on a sound track. I dont think I have it and if I dont, she'll bring the cd so I can copy it to my computer.
PLEASE?? PLEASE?? PLEASE??
my next entry will be a poem I will post some time this week. I hope everyone will read-note it.
