ok, wow, um, I'm not sure where to begin here.
I just got a friend request on fb and that I quickly accepted. It was from a kid I knew going back to elementary school.
He was mr popular. A lady's man. Charming and caring but tough, strong and respected. He is Itallian and he loved his hair. (and so didnt all the ladies)
He dropped out of school in 10th grade so he could work to help his mother provide for his siblings.
He got a girl pregnant the next? year. I didnt see him much at all. Maybe once every few years. The next time I saw himI was a freshman in college and he had a second child by then with the same woman. I lost touch with him soon after that. I thought about him often and tried to find him on the net. I found him on classmate a few years ago, and sent him a message. He replied with q quit, hey what's up. I couldnt respond to him again on the site or I would have to pay.
I just got a friend request which I quickly accepted.

Kids with special needs aren't weird or odd. They only want what everyone wants.....to be accepted. Can I make a request? . . . Is anyone willing to post this and leave it on your status for 1 hour? It is Special Education Week & Autism & ADHD Awareness Month... keep it going and teach your children not to make fun of other kids for ANY REASON!!
My note
Once upon a time there was this 6th grader who didnt have much vision. First day of 6th grade, he had to go to the boy's locker room without his female aid. He felt a bit lost with all those boys changing and leaving the locker room heading out to the field.
This tough, popular guy gave that blind man some assist without even thinking of it. He helped him get his gym clothes out of his locker and assisted him to the field.
And 21 years later, I still remember that moment.

I always tell my children that you should always treat people with respect and help those who are in need. Jonathan you are my friend and I am glad that I found you.

He now lives in Fortmires fl with his 4 children and wife. He is a police officer who goes to schools and talks about the harmfulness of bullying.
