King of POP Rock for ever RIP

06/25/2009

I was on the way home from work when my driver told me that Michael Jackson had past away of a masive heart attack. I was shocked. I said "the real Michael Jackson?" he said, yes, the king of pop.

Michael Jackson was a very misunderstood and troubled man. However, he did a lot of good things for children, humanities and human kind.

My first memory of him was leading the cause to raise money for the poor people in Antiopia in the early 80's. He got a lot of great singers together and sang "we are the world" and all the money went to hunger.

Michael Jackson was one of the most talented people in music.
There was nothing in music he did not acomplish. He wrote, sang, produced, scouted and took under his wing, so many. He sing handily help MTV get off the ground with videos such as beat it and Thriller.

I just played Billy-Gene and "the earth song" and I just am speachless. I am in disbelief. Tonight I was going to remember for a night where John Smolts makes his first appearance for my Boston RedSox and the 2009 NBA draft. However, unfortunately, it will be all over shadowed and June 25th will be remembered for the passing of the great Michael Jackson.

Thank you Michael Jackson for giving me many years of great music to listen to.
Thank you for being a good man.
May all your wrongs be forgiven and I wish you only to rest in piece.

I'm Gonna Make A Change,
For Once In My Life
It's Gonna Feel Real Good,
Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . .

As I, Turn Up The Collar On My
Favourite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowin' My Mind
I See The Kids In The Street,
With Not Enough To Eat
Who Am I, To Be Blind?
Pretending Not To See
Their Needs
A Summer's Disregard,
A Broken Bottle Top
And A One Man's Soul
They Follow Each Other On
The Wind Ya' Know
'Cause They Got Nowhere
To Go
That's Why I Want You To
Know

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change
(Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A Change)
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah)

I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish
Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No
Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me,
Pretending That They're Not
Alone?

A Willow Deeply Scarred,
Somebody's Broken Heart
And A Washed-Out Dream
(Washed-Out Dream)
They Follow The Pattern Of
The Wind, Ya' See
Cause They Got No Place
To Be
That's Why I'm Starting With
Me
(Starting With Me!)

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
(Ooh!)
I'm Asking Him To Change
His Ways
(Ooh!)
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself And
Then Make A Change

He was an amazing man.

Not to be horridly crass, but his death overshadowed the death of Farrah Fawcett. They both died today. It is a shame for both lives to be lost, but we can't forget her.
