NOJOMO 11-16

11/16/2010

Since no one... very few people visit my poetry diary, (thanks those who do) here is some of my answers

NOJOMO 11
1. If you could go back in time and change anything, would you or wouldn't you? What would you change?

I think I would, as much as my heart would disagree, earn my master's in social work instead of counseling. A socialworker can do counseling but a counselor cant do social worker jobs. Plus there are a lot more social workers around so it's easier to get supervision.
I would prob be a licensed social worker by now and then some.

2. What does Remembrance Day/Veterans Day/Armed Forces Day mean to you?
My grand father faught in WWII.
My brother's best friend is in the airforce
My best friend's sister is in the army.
My older brother's close friend is in the army.

We should all take a moment to reflect and remember and apreciate the freedom we have and the people in the past and the present who has faught and continues to fight for libity which we take for granted.

NOJOMO 12
1. Do you agree with hunting? Think it should be outlawed? Why?
If it is for consumtion, it will be fine.
If it is just for a sport, than no.

2. Suppose that one day you woke up and were a kid again. Write about what you would do.
If I had vision, I would go play vidio games and go down to the middle school and join a pick up basketball game. Those were my two favorite things to do when I was growing up. And watching WWF wrestling.

NOJOMO 13
1. If you had to flee from your burning house, what would you choose to save? Explain your choices.

When I was in hs and we read the book Knite, about the holocos, we had to answer that question after the SS people came and took the jewish people out of their home.

Unfortunately, a simular situation happened to me about 5 years ago when I was in grad school and it was raining and raining for a few days. I was coming home from school and my mom was getting home from visiting my father who was in the hospital. We walked in, my mom freaked out. there was 6 inches of water down stairs. My house is a split level so it wasnt a basement. My room was one that is down stairs. So I ran down stairs and I grabbed two things.

My laptop computer and my box of very expensive baseball cards.
I thought, if I lost everything else, I would be ok with having these two items.

the computer had all my school stuff in it and all my poems. Plus it's expensive to buy another one.

My box of very expensive cards.
The time, money, blood, sweat and teers collecting all those cards
I use to say that the cards would be my down payment on a house.

2. Which is better: Harry Potter or Twilight? neither

3. A picture of your shoes that you are wearing today. Why did you choose these shoes?

new balance, size 9.5
they are the only one's I have.

2. What is your favourite holiday? What makes this holiday special?

My favorite is Chanukah. Not because we recieve gifts, although that is nice. But rather because my family and friends of the family all gather for the holidays. My mom always has a chanukah party one sunday afternoon. it feels good when you give your siblings and friends and parents gifts and they are surprised and happy. Not to mention Latkis oo so good.
The last few years we've been doing a Redsox swop. We dont use the Y word in our house.

3. Todays photographic prompt is ORANGE. Run with it

After I run with the orange, can I eat it?

NOJOMO 15
1. During your time on bloop, what have you gotten out of it? What is Bloop to you?

I have got so much out of bloop. In short, I have met some pretty amazing people. Most have come and gone but a few I hope to hold on to for a long time.
It has been a place were I can share my thoughts, ideas, concerns, opions and about daily life. I have used bloop to give me a place to write my poetry. To be creative, colorful and borderline strange. I have been able to share all my frustrations and pains with being blind while sharing my acomplishments both in the class room and in the work force. I hope to continue being a part of this great comunity.
Thank you for reading me wether this is your first time or you've been reading me since the beginning, 2003.

2. What are the first 5 things you do of a morning?
wake up, check email, check sports news, masturbate and then go pee.
You asked lol

3. Photographic Prompt: Artistic. Play with this one as you please!
ooo yes

NOJOMO 16
1. Introduce yourself through your eyes. Who are YOU?

I am a blind educated caring and thoughtful young professional who is passionate about the people in his life and my hobbies-likes who is trying
to find his way in this crazy life.

2. What is your earliest childhood memory? Why is it significant to you?

I remember being in my crib with my twin brother looking at sesame street books.
The significant is that he climbed out of his bed, went to the book shelf, grabbed a book, brought it to my crib, put it through the bars in my crib and than climbed into my crib so we could look at the pictures together.

3. Photographic prompt - Transportation. How do you get around?

The Massachusetts bus and train authority provide a "door to door" service for the elderly and disabled. It is similar to a taxi survice, you call for a ride and they will pick you up and drop you off. However, you have to provide no less than 24 hours of advance notice. The survice cost only 2 dollars per a ride. However, do to the number of riders compared to vehicle-drivers, there will more than likely be a pick up or drop off before you get to your location. The company has an automatic tele-system, that calls the night before to let you know what time they will pic you up.
