PATRIOTS GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL! + 2 poems

01/24/2012

Friday's anniversary wasnt so bad. I almost cried once when I started thinking "this time (minute) last year I was... I quickly stopped myself from that and when ever that thought crept into my head, I thought of something else.

I will admit, I did look on the net for more info, for some type of update or someone talking about the anniversary but noone did... that I found.

SUNDAY!
I invited my sibs over for the football game. The New England Patriots were playing the Baltimore Ravens for a spot in the 46th Superbowl.

I put on my #17 Patriots jersey

I ordered pizzas and everyone else brought stuff. My sister made a chicken dip. My sis in law made chilli and my sister's friend made desserts and my mom made a big salad and also put out chips and salsa.

My mom also had this huge jar of jelly beans. So we were pulling them out, trying to figur out what flavor what was what. that was a fun game too. lol

The Patriots Raven's game came down to the last play. The Raven's were down by 3 but on the 15 yard line, all they had to do was make this easy kick to send it into over time. The ball is down, the kick is up and... THEY MISSED IT! THE BALL WENT WIDE LEFT! THE PATRIOTS ARE GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL!

The house quickly cleared out after that. People had to work the next day.
However, for Jonathan, there was another game. The 49ers, my favorite team, the team I rooted for in the late 80's and remained a loyal fan of through the good and bad years, was also playing for a shot in the Superbowl. They were playing vs the NY Giants who I strongly disliked.
This game actually did go into overtime and on one of the punt returns by the 49ers, the returner didnt have the ball secured and a Giant's player knocked it out and then downed it. Giving the Giants the ball with an easy field goal to win the game.

With that, a rematch of the 2007 Superbowl was set up.

February 5th, 2012, it will be the New England Patriots vs the New York Giants in the Superbowl
To make it even more fun... Madonna is the half time show

Find a better man
01-24-2012
Jonathan

Tears streaming down your face
Hair out of place
Running makeup and
Tremoring hands

You love who I am
But who I am is not the real man
We must part, and make our own plans
You must find a better man

Who’dah thunk it
01-24-2012
Jonathan

On the playground after school
I thought I was tough and cool
I was gona win
Once I put you in the chicken wing

Rumors spread up and down the halls
Class to class, everyone got the call
Even the nerds
Hopefully none of the teachers heard

The last bell rang
The fat lady sang
Now it is time to show him
I flexed my muscles, I’m gonna beat up Tim

With my bag on my back
I headed out back
I expected a crowd
It would be really loud

I headed out to the playground
I was shocked at what I found
No one was around
There wasn’t a single sound

Sounds like you had a fun party! I was really hoping the 49ers would win, but since they didn't I will root for the Giants. Sorry! I like the Panthers, but they have been pretty bad the last few years.

I like football parties I just don't like football. Hahaha. But go Patriots.

I love the poems. I think the first one is my fave of the two though.
