I just completed a poem and wanted to share a few of them with you
FYI, I have all my poetry in one single msw doc, currently it stretches over 392 pages

The Twinkle in your eyes

Twinkle twinkle in your eyes
With you near me I can not lie
I can’t stand being apart
You’ll always be in my heart
Until the day comes, when I can hold you
Know my word, will always be true

The burning of my art

You only see one side of me
I am also outgoing, carefree and a bit crazy
I lead with action and with words
But you only see a low flying bird

I show you my best work of art
Belittling it, you tear my heart
It’s a simple drawing, the work is done in black
The meaning is complex, but you turn your back

I write poetry
It makes me feel so free
You read my favorite poem
This piece of work you condemn

I send you a short story I wrote
You tell me it’s nothing to promote
It uses my imagination
You tell me I need a vacation

With this pen in hand, I express what I think
And I will write till this pen runs out of ink
