A letter about my princess
9-5-2010
Hey, brother, I got some news
News that lifted my blues
I know you are going to think I am crazy
You’ll say my mind is a bit hazy
But listen to me
This aint no dream or no movie
In the middle of the night
A lady contacted me, I was feeling alright
She said she got my info from a friend
That was the beginning of the end
Our family had a wish
To meet someone who is Jewish
I asked her if she likes Muppets and Disney
She said she loves Animal with his drums and Kirmy
When I asked her if she knows what “hakuna matata” means
She said it means no worries, She’s definitely my Disney queen
I know you are feeling a bit skeptical
Give her a chance, she’ll sparkle
Don’t laugh
I believe she could be my other half
I know only time will tell
I hope we will jell
Over the next few days
We talked about family, education, careers and holidays.
We talked about music, movies and she was being silly
Yes she knows I can not see
And she still wants to get to know more about me
Now there is this wedding I am attending in her state
She asked me if I have a date
I smiled and said no
She asked me if she could go
She’s having a birthday party at her family’s place
She asked me if I like kids and to embrace
And how I was about taking a 5 hour bus ride
I’m fine, as long as you will be on the other side
You know, brother, I even thought
Inviting her to our family Chanukah party, I’d like that a lot
Then next year when we go to NYC for our birthday
Inviting her for dinner, I’ll put that question on delay
I’m not sure what the future will bring
If Meyghan is there than it will be a beautiful thing
Labor day
9-6-10
It’s the last day of summer
Tomorrow we’ll be going back to school, learning our letters and numbers
We’ll have new teachers and new friends in a new school
I just want to be cool
Yesterday mom took my brother and I shopping
First we went to get our supplies, Pens and pencils, notebooks and binders with rings
Backpack too. I got a Red Sox one
This school year will be fun
Then we were off to the mall
Hmm I guess I grew a bit tall
I had to buy all new clothes for the new school year
As long as I got Air Jordan’s I did not care
Today we do something that the parents call a block party
We have a huge barbeque, manned by Arty
Joey will be sure playing the radio on his new boombox
Hopefully he’ll play rock
At some point we will play sports
It will be the parents verses the kids, kids will win of course
It will be a great day
I hope school will go my way
