random stuff and a redsox rant*edit+bon jovi!

12/04/2009

I am not a happy camper with my redsox. I just learned that we signed Marco Scutaro, a 34 year old shortstop who is average on defense and a smidge above average for his position (shortstop) on offence.

We let the top defensive shortstop go for 2.75 m a year. the financial terms on the scutaro deal have not been released yet, but i bet it is more than 2.75m a year.

I Hope Theo knows what he is doing.

My grand parents are both healing. To borrow the fraze from AA "one day at a time"

My nanna admitted to my father that this could have been prevented if she was not so stubborn. She was so worried what other people would think of her if she'd use a cane to help steady her while walking, she refused to even have a cane. So? for the second time in 5 years she has a broken hip. Mentally, she is doing well. She is not your average 91 year old woman. She is a tuff cookie. She refuses to take pain med to ease her post sergery pain and oo if she doesnt like something, she'd tell you. She follows the RedSox and ocationally the celtics and patriots. I love my grand mother!

My grand father I guess he is doing alright. I have not had a real update on him. I guess as soon as he burns heal, he'll be able to go back to assisted living.

Both of my grandparent's situations could have and should have been preventable. .

I am doing good on my Chanukah-Christmas shopping.

My best friend is a cigar smoker and so is my dad. Well my dad saw a deal in one of his cigar mags, told me about it, and I said, "do you still have the add?" he said he did. It was 8 cigars and a nice humador, regular value about 80 dollars, only 15 bucks! and because I ordered on line, shipping is free. He is going to think I paid a lot of money for this. He is going to love it.

My NJ cousin Hayley, who, right now is laying on a beach in Costa Rica, on a much needed vacation. In her down time, she loves putting together puzzles. So I bought her a puzzle of Boston with all the historicle stuff in it. My mom says that it looks like it could be a very expensive painting. So I bought that for her. She is going to love me for that. (like she doesnt love me already? hehe)

OMG, speaking of loving me, I so love her. So I got a Chanukah card from her (she had sent it out before she left for vacation since the time she gets back, it will be Chanukah already) *The last card she sent out to me had all glitter on the front, so I could feel it. ya know, tacual =good for blind people.) So I get a card I open it and I hear my cousin's voice saying "Happy chanukah, love you cousin"and then winter music playing. OMG I love that card. Iwas confused when I opened the card and I thought I would as always, hand it to my mom to read to me, but nope, hayley 's voice was right there.

Moving on: I am going to kill 3 Yankees with one swing. (my new fraze for killing two birds with one stone) My twin brother, his friend Jeff and my friend rob all love hockey, so I am going to get tickets for us all to see a boston Bruins's game. I wish Bruins tickets were not so damn expensive. They go from like 35 dollars, for the worse seats in the house, then is 50 then is 99. And that is for the balcony. On the floor, where 4 years ago, tickets were 60 dollars? is now nearly tripple that value. That is not even for front row on the floor.

I tried to get tickets to see Bon Jovi for a 3rd state, yesterday, but I could not get them for CT. i had a presale code, but the time I got through, hmm about 15 minutes I had to wait, the 125 dollar seats were sold out. (it is a small venue, about 10,000 seats, so there was only 2 prices, 125 and 195) Oh well, I wish I knew more people who love Bon Jovi. I could have seen them in 5 different states if I tried but I have no one to go with. Which, I know I am crazy. My mom said I am crazy too for wanting to see basicly the same show over and over and paying hundreds of dollars to do so.

EDIT!!!! EDIT!!!
I AM CRAZY ABOUT BON JOVI!

So I could not get tickets yesterday with the pre-sale.
However, I could get ticket with the general public.... OMG!!!

3 times in 5 month!

"You got to live before you die!" Bon jovi, my fav song on the newest album
I got other news, but not revealing those yet.

Oh chanukah. I usually get presents on New Years because that's how my family does it. What a cute card from your cousin though! So sweet!

I can agree with your last line. Reminds me of Semi-Charmed Life... "I want something else to get me thru this Semi-Charmed kind of life"
