I am not much for politics, however, I am very sadden to learn that shortly before midnight one of the greatest families' of this great nation lost the last of their own as Senitor Ted Kennedy passed on.
No matter what side of the politicle pole you stand for, there is no doubt that this man has done so much for the state of Massachusetts, the country of America and I am sure this loss, will be felt around the world.
For more than 60 years, there has been a member of this family in office and today, there is no longer a Kennedy.
I hope you take just a moment of your precious time today, to remember, read about or listen to, or even inquire about Senitor Ted Kennedy.
Senitor, You faut a long and painful battle with cancer, longer than any doctor gave you to live. You were strong, so strong, to hold on and try with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind to live on. I have shed a few teers already and no doubt, a few more to come, for I know that not only did we lose a great leader, we lost an even greater man.
You may be gone from this earth, but now you will be painfree and with your family in heaven. RIP.

Proud to be an American
If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
(From the Bay of Oakland to the Bay of Boston)
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.
That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA. |
