I went to the 100th opening day at fenway park on friday.
It was amazing.
The red sox vs the TB Rays
We were heading into the home opener 1-5 and everyone was talking crap about the red sox... except me. I still believe.
Josh Beckett was on the mound for the Red Sox and we were going up against David Price.
Back to the 100th opening day.
Boston Pops did the national anthum followed by a fly over by F16 jetfighters.
Two of the most beloved red sox ever, who both retired last year, threw out the first pitch, Jason Varitek and Tim Wakefield.
The oldest Red Sox living ledgion, Jonny Pesky, 91 years old, in his soft, and tired old voice was able to say "PLAY BALL" and the place went crazy.
The game didnt start off too well as Beckett gave up a run in the first inning but that was it for them. We score a few runs and we were winning but in the 4th inning, our Star center fielder, Ellsburry, went into second base and his shoulder was dislocated and will be out for 6-8 weeks but that was the only negative spot in this day as the red sox ended up scoring 8 runs in the 8th inning and it was a awesome game all around as we ended up winning 13-2.
ARE! YOU! READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!
my sister plays for a professional woman's football team and Saturday was the first game of the season and the New York Sharks came swimming in with their big bad teeth, chomping at the bit to take a bite from the defending WFL champion, the Boston Militia.
We had a tailgate party. We went in and found a section we could sit. My sister had a fan club of about 20 there just for her of friends and family members.
At half it was 56-0 and we put in our back up players for the second half and the final was 64 to 6.
It was pretty fun.

"I want, something else, to get me through this, life"
I am just so frustrated with everything
I ordered a cd on line that I could dl, after a week of trying to dl it and even emailing suport, I still cant figure out why I can't dl it. The link on their page isnt working.
I have an extra ticket to the most selebrated game in red sox history and I cant get any one to go who would appreciate it.
Fenway park was opened on April 20th, 2012 vs the New York Hylanders who are now the Yankees. So on April 20th, the red sox invited any and all former red sox players to come to partisapate. I am going with my twin and his wife, but I have asked 5 people right now and 5 people could not go.
I am just so frustrated with life... so looking forward to my trip to texas. it cant come quick enough.
Speaking of tx, I was able to get a free hotel room in Houston I'm happy and my friend is releaved. She is worried about money and so not having to worry about a hotel room for a Saturday night saved us $150... plus parking (free) plus breakfast (free)
We are going out with a few of her well people she knew, we going to hang out with them after the game, maybe going to a club-concert. Should be fun what ever we end up doing. I told her "what happens in Houston, stays in Houston"
But I am still feeling unproductive, lonely and alone |
