start of baseball season, Passover, bad blooper

04/09/2012

I first must apoligize for being a bad blooper. I love this place and all the wonderful people I have met through this site. Most of you whom are on my FB. :) *from my fb page on Friday* “For every story, there is 10,000 stories that could be shared" Why is this night different from all other nights? Tonight, I wont be sitting down for dinner with just my parents, but rather with 18 of my family members. Tonight, we will reminisce of the people who once had joined us at the Passover Seder as we eagerly wait for the next generation to join us. RIP Uncle Denis, Uncle Toddles, Punchy and Fran, Uncle Gabe, Grand ma Martha *continues from there* Passover is not just a holiday for me and my family. It is a time for all my family to gather in my dining room at the dining room table. As a token to Passover, when ever someone close to me passes, I write on here "another dish is taken away from the Passover Seder" Yes it is a time to remember when we were slaves to the Pharaohs in Egypt and the lord took us from the house of bondage to the land of Israel, took us from being slaves to being free humen and it is that which we selebrate. It is also a time when my family gathers and sits down together as one, young and old, and we read the story of Passover, in both Hebrew and English. We have had as many as 32 people to the Seder and as few as 14. However, I would just like to take a moment to reflect on those people who are no longer with me. RIP Uncle Denis Denis was my father's best friend. A retired fireman who love to share stories and would always take the longest root to a destination, convinced it is the shortest way. RIP: Uncle Toddles My grandfather's eldest brother, was in the scrap iron business with my grandfather, also was a self-made millioneer with stocks, bonds, and writing things off where he could. He was a brilliant man. Commanded respect and equally giving to charities. He was on a number of boards including the YHMA, Camp Minorah, and was a part of many clubs. He lived to the nice old age of 98. RIP: Punchy: Just as his nickname suggest, he was a boxer. I never knew his real name. When I was a kid, he drove taxis for my father till he couldnt do it any longer. He was a big strong teddybear, even in his late years. He grew up with my grand father but was close to my family through working for my father. My parents would go away on many trips with him and his girlfriend. He was also a big football fan as well as boxing fan RIP Fran: (punchy's gf) was a sweet lady who adored Punchy and took care of him. She was best known for loving wine. To this day, we still joke about it during passover. She was always interested in hearing about my latest crush and how I was doing in school. RIP Uncle Gabe. My only biological uncle, my mother's brother in law was the definition of a little old Jewish man. He never complained, always had a smile on his face, and was soft spoken. He was an extremely hard worker. When my cousins were young he worked as many as 3 jobs to pay the bills. His main job was working for the city in the suage. Even when his health decline do to a failed kidney, he still got up and went to work, never complaining. He loved his leather recliner. RIP Grand Ma Martha I didnt know her well, my mother's mom, as I was only 7 when she passed away and that which I do remember, was her as an eldally and fragil woman. However, I do remember her a few years sitting at the oposit end of the dining room table for Passover. Other people, although never sat at my dining room table, was a part of my life and I would just like to mention them and my relationship to them. *Everyone who I mention except my grandmother, has passed in the last 13 years.* the grand aunt-uncles who I knew: Aunt Ruthie and uncle Dicky, Aunt Eve,, Aunt Charlotte, Aunty Sophie, Uncle Selwyn Other family members: Aaron and betty Heighten teachers: Mr. MacNiell, MR. Bruno, MR. J... Professor Paul Gerson Hebrew School teacher: Mrs. Kraft Rabbi Kummer Childhood friend: Bob Benson, Jared sidroni, Matthew Ouellette Ethel Perisie: mother of a family friend Leo Breda: father of a family friend Charlett Zack: mother of a family friend Chief Bill Coin, another long time friend of my father. Coworkers: Marty, Stephanie Clients: David F, Penny, Jone, Mary, Elsidez, Elfanzo, Desmon, ******** and the 2012 baseball season has began! GO RED SOX!

It's crazy how Facebook makes everyone a very bad Blooper. Bloop needs a mobile app so I can update all the time on there. I'm hardly ever on my computer! ACK. I miss Blooping. lol Hooray for opening day. Of course, my Cleveland Indians kicked off the season by losing. Sadly, that's what all Cleveland teams are good at lol
