Monday…was horrible
I’ve been a few weeks without a hearing aide in my right ear. I called to see the status on it. They were suppose to call me when it came in. So I called and the secretary said “oh, he didn’t call you?. …they cant fix them because they’re not yours they’re charly’s. (he’s the audiologist who this person took over the business from) so you’ll have to bring In your own hearing aides. I tried to explain that I was wearing one, which is prob mine and there was one that Charly sent away about 18 months ago and I forgot to pick it up and it wasn’t left behind but that one was prob mine as well. She said 3 times, but you need to bring in your, these are charly’s. Eventually I just said ok. I made an appointment for the following day. I went in on Tuesday, filled out a bunch of paperwork. (well, my mom did) and he would call me to let me know when my insurance ok’s it.
So I was so mad on Monday that I don’t know when I’ll be getting an ear back and that he didn’t call and my slight head ache every day from only having the one hearing aid… I took it out on my weights.
I was up to 4 sets of 10 benching 100 LBS. (my rutine is longer but that’s the important part for this story) I wanted to see how much I could do. the first set I did 18 reps, 12 then 11. However, when I tried to put the weights up, I couldn’t get it back up on the holder. I brought it back to my chest, rested for a bit, while also not letting the weights crush my ribs… I put it back up and I couldn’t get it up on the holder. Great, now what? I rolled the weights (with my hands taking most of the pressure off my ribs) till I got to my last rib where I knew I had to lift it over my stomach and to my lap. If I tried to roll it on my stomach I’d prob die. I was able to get it to my lap… great. So in my head I’m thinking, I’ll sit up and then lift it enough to then put down on the ground… I sat up and the entire bench with me and the weights, tipped forward. I let the weights go and quickly stepped over it all. And collapsed on my bed for about 10 minutes, exhausted. I thought I did something to my right knee but it’s alright.
So then I get on fb and I wont say who (but no, not Karen) sent me this nasty hurtful note that ended with “never contact me again” I was just wondering about something that happened a bunch of years ago but I guess it brought up some bad-painful memories. I said I was sorry… but it was too late.
So yup, 3 bad things in one day.
Thursday
I went to work as normal. Met another relief staff. Every work day is a new face and who knows if I will see them again or not.
I had a plan of what I was going to do on this day. We had the house meeting where they decide what they want to make for dinner and what their chores will be plus we were going to talk about this new food plan the company is going to implement on April 10th.
My supervisor came to me asked if we could talk down stairs. I said sure.
He got a job offer that he cant turn down and is going to be leaving.
It’s doing a specific type of therapy that he wanted to do for this company but we don’t offer it. Plus it’s a lot closer to his home. He told me it cost him about 500 dollars a month on transportation.
I was genuine happy for him and told him so.
He felt bad but he has to take it. I agreed.
He told me that it was great working with me and that before he leaves he’s going to give me his personal email address if I need anything. I thanked him for that and told him that I appreciate it.
I did my part of the meeting and then I let him tell the residents. One had the same reaction as I did, that he was happy for him. Everyone else, had no verble response so I don’t know what their thoughts were.
TONIGHT…
I went to a “pot of gold” fundraiser for the rotary club which my dad belongs to. It was held at a Chinese restaurant and although I was bored for the most part, I pretended not to be.
You buy a ticket for $100 and you hadthe chance to win either $500 1500 or 3000. There was a few door prizes which were donated as well which were giving out randomly. There was a few side games to make the night fun too.
However, there was this outgoing-friendly lady who was walking around selling tickets for a raffle. (one of the side games) Although I didn’t interact with her much, ok, only once and she was only near me 2 other times sellig but I bought 2 tickets from her and she rubbed the side of my arm and said no problem. 2 tickets coming up. (I love that physical touching) I told my dad’s friend Al that I thought she had a cute voice. He said if you could see her, that wouldn’t be the only thing you’d think was cute. He also guessed she’s late 20’s early 30’s.
During the pot of gold, which my dad is the MC of, he was thanking people for their help and one person he mentioned was Melissa. She’s new to the club and not only did she buy a tickets but she jumped right in, offering to help out and she’s been erasing the names off the board as they are called. Most people it takes a few years to warm up to us but not her.
My dad also told us a story during dinner that she came in to rotary one day and she was holding a motorcycle helmet.
Oo my type of lady. Adventurous.
So when I got home I stalked her lol. She owns a fusion restaurant. Is from Vietnam. Has at least one child and as of the date of the article, was not married but that was a few years ago.
I emailed John, my best friend, to see if he could find a pic of her on line and he said that she is defanately assian and has the small frame to match.
So now I’m like omg I have to get to know her…but how?
What if she is married or is in a relationship?
Even if she’s not, I don’t know much about her except that she owns a restaurant. Has at least one child and rides motorcycles and she’s cute with a great personality and a cute voice.
I looked at her menu…lol not much I’d eat there.
I have to think of some way to get to know her more.
Any ideas?
