Tornadoes rips through MA, thanks for prayers, day 5

06/02/2011

TORNADOS RIPS THROUGH WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS, 4 CONFIRMED DEAD

“It isn’t suppose to happen here”

Massachusetts is not aquipt to handle this. Our houses and buildings are not constructed to withstand the angried wind of a tornado. It leveled houses, even brick houses. Cars were lifted and tossed like a hotwheel-match box car. Trees were snapped like twigs.
This is not “somewhere else” this is in the western part of my state. Springfield MA, where my sister and sister in law both went to college was hit twice.

All I could do was sit in awe and shock and pain as the news casters relay story after story to me from the seens. We can candle 40 inches of snow dropped in a short amount of time. We can handle fluds (even though 3 fluds washed away my childhood) we can endore blackouts for a few days in a row. We can even deal with some huracains but this, this was something I have never been apart of in my life.
I will once again ask for your prayers and thoughts for the victums of the tornadoes which touched down and ruined so many lives in western MA.

I want to thank anyone who said a little prayer for my friend Olivia’s mom. It was a close call but she made it. It will be a long recovery to getting her health back to how it was. But I believe, she needs to relearn how to take care of herself better. If she does this, I actually feel she could be in better health than she has been in a long long time. *soft smile*

After all that, I feel gilty for even bringing up sports.
Tonight was game one of the Standley cup final and serounded by my family, I listened to what to me was a very very boring game. The final was 1-0 and the goal wasn’t scored till the 19:42 second of the 3rd period. Unfortunately, Boston was not on the winning side.
Game 2 is Saturday night

My red sox, oh, my beloved red sox. What ever happened?
You went on a great winning streek and now, now you go on a 5 game losing streek? Take a day off and come back this weekend and kick some Oakland Athletic baseballs!

Day One: 10 different things you want to say to 10 different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you'd never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever) Day Seven: Four turn-offs.
Day Eight: Three turn-ons.
Day Nine: Two images that describe your life right now, and why.
Day Ten: One confession.

Day Five: Six things you wish you'd never done.

6? Really? Hmm I honestly am not sure I can even think of a few.
There is one thing, which, I will never ever tell anyone. It has been locked away with a 20 digit password, with a deadbolt on the door of the thing and wrapt in diamond chane.

However, I feel that everything I ever done in my life, good or bad, right or wrong, whether my choices had brought me down dead end streets or lonely dark roads, they have all made me the person I am today. If I change just one thing, it would change who I am and for the most part, I like who I am.

I wish I would have borrowed money from my parents and gone to the Baseball All Star Game in my home stadium of Fenway park. To be there when the great Ted Williams road round the field in a gocart with all those future hall of famers around him. That is defanately one regret I have.

I wish I was better at public speaking. After all those graduate classes where I had to give 30 to 60 minute presentations, you’d think I would be better at it. I challenged myself by teaching a training over the last year but I just can’t do it without having a mental block and having to rely on my coworkers to help me. Now… granted, I am doing it all from memorization and they are reading from a book, I still feel like that I should be able to get up and give a few half our trainings by memory.

However, these are not answering the question. These are more like things I wish I did do.
So, I guess I really dont know much in my life I wish I've never done.

I think about sports pretty much all day as well. It drives my co workers insane cause their all boring girls who don't care about sports, lol.

It doesn't surprise me that one of your only regrets is sports related. I'm glad your friends mom is doing better.

Random: My jaw dropped when I read that MA, my home state got hit. I am still in shock. I've got family scattered all over the state and in New Hampshire. I hope everyone is alright.

I am so glad that we haven't had any tornadoes at my house. They are scary! They've been close to my area, but they always seem to miss us, thank goodness!

I definitely agree that if she continues with caring for herself when she gets out, it will be a much better situation over all.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
