Not Schizo, They Know Me

I started at this side job teaching workshops and tutoring at the college back in 2005.  About a year after I started there, I thought I was schizo.  It seems like there were many places in Brooklyn (especially at the college) where strangers looked at me as if they know me. 

As the years go by, it happens more and more.  I've been getting more and more confirmation that I am not schizo.  They do know me, mostly from my work from the college.

Here's one recent example.  Yesterday, a student came to the center for a tutor.  I did not know that she knows me until she told me .  In her case, we have met because she came in for a tutor a while back, but I just don't remember her.  (I know I am not good with recognizing and remembering faces, but I am surprised that I don't remember this very pretty girl.)  She even said, "I know you are always in this room while everyone else in the department is in the front area."  People within my department knows this, but I was surprise she (a student) knows this too."

Two years ago, I walked into this Dunkin Donuts for coffee and the girl at the counter asked me, "Don't you work at ____ College?"

A year ago, I was walking on the street when one girl was standing on the side walk while another girl was backing her car out of a driveway.  The girl standing told the girl driving, "He's from _____ College."

There was another incident where I was in the cafeteria on line.  Two students were behind me.  One student talked about needing a tutor.  The other student looks at me and said, "He's a tutor.  He's really good."  I don't recognize or remember her but she obviously knows me.

These are the few incidences where they said something indicating that they do know me.  However, there were many more incidences where they didn't say anything but they look at me in a certain way (as if they know me.)  They don't say anything in the majority of these incidences.

I find it funny though, that I am more well-known for my side job (as a college workshop teacher and tutor) than I am for my main work (in SpirFit).
