We went up to the police station and I talked to the guy that went out to see Cukiee last night.
He said that when he went out there he told our neighbors that if they wanted to they could put Cukiee in their basement UNTIL they saw that we were at home or my sister came back over. Then they were supposed to bring her back home and just explain the situation to us.
He said that he hadn't known the situation. He didn't know we were out of town and that we had made arrangements to have her taken care of.
Then he gave us some suggestions on how to stop using the choke chain [which we want to do], and use other things that she can't snap and will be safe for her. And then he said that he would keep an eye out for a pen and let us know.
But everything is okay now. Except for the woman we have for a neighbor. But I guess we'll just have to put up with it.
I'm not mad at the guy. He's nice. He explained what happened and brought Cukiee out to us. He was sweet. But she was yelling the entire time.
And like I said, if they had just done what the officer had told them to, kept her in their basement until we got home and then brought her to us and just explained, everything would have been fine!
Oh also, I'm going to the doctor in the morning. I have these mosquito bites on my leg that are SERIOUSLY infected. They're swollen really big, they're really red [the center is so red it's almost purple and then there's a red ring around it.] And they have big, hard knots in them. They're really sore. And they're HOT, like they have a fever in them. UGH.
Last time this happened I had to go to the ER and get an IV put in. I'm gonna see if the doc can just give me some antibiotics. I don't want another IV. lol
