At the moment, I'm currently pretty annoyed. I just came in from laying by the pool. I went down there with a good book to read, and this guy would NOT stop talking to me. At first he was a couple chairs away, but then he decided it would be a great idea to move to the chair next to me!!! I could kill him! He would not shut up.
He was just chatting at first, like when I went into the pool he asked if it was freakishly warm again. That was fine. But then he just kept talking to me, like why I was wearing dog tags, and where I go to school, and why if I go to school do I live at the apartments I do, why not at "college" apartments. The worst was he saw me wearing a ring on my ring finger, and asked if I was married, then engaged. Its just a ring, leave it alone!!! So now I'm inside hiding from obnoxious Ryan! PLEASE PLEASE don't let him be at the pool next time I go there!!!
Now that I'm on a rant about the obnoxious things in my life, I'm going to rant about Lett's Bridal in Lansing, MI. Anybody that lives in the area and is getting married...DO NOT buy your dresses through them!!! So I ordered my bridesmaid dress in January, the wedding is the first Friday in June, but we told them it was the last Friday in May (a week earlier, so we wouldn't be trying to pick up the dresses the day of or anything...).
So the first week in May I called to see when my dress was coming in, they said it had already been shipped and would be in the next week, and they would call me then to schedule a fitting. Fine. Then I call two weeks later because they still hadn't called me. The lady couldn't find the paperwork, so she takes my name/number and says she will call me back. She doesn't. I call the next day, and talk to the owner, again he takes my name/number but doesn't call me back. The next day, I just kept calling every two hours until somebody gives me an answer. Apparently my dress is in. Nope, they gave MY dress to another bridesmaid, and tried to give me hers. Robin said the dress fit perfect for her, but if I wanted, I could have it back. I figure why get two dresses altered (since mine would have to be taken in anyway), so I let her keep mine.
I went in for my fitting on Tuesday, and this is where I got pissed!!! Before they were just obnoxious. Here they were just plain bitchy. I asked the owner if he would be willing to give us a discount on the alterations, because he gave me the wrong dress, and I had to have extra alterations done to it. What does he say, "its not my fault she won't bring your dress back". UMMM...its your fault for giving it to her in the first place, and second, you better accept responsibility for YOUR mistake! He didn't even apologize for giving her my dress on accident! What would have happened if she had ruined my dress on accident? What would they do then?
So...I just took my dress and am having it altered somewhere else. But I went in for my fitting on Tuesday (5/26), and they were told 4 months ago, that the wedding was this Friday (5/29), there was NO way they would have had the alterations done on time...what if I had given them the real wedding date? I would have NO dress! I'm not so much pissed about not getting a discount on the alterations, but that he didn't even bother to apologize!!!
