So Wed night before work on Thursday I quite literally did not go to sleep... at all. I took 75 mg of Benadryl and laid in bed staring at the ceiling. Around 4 am I started to panic that I would kill somebody at work that day (honestly what parent wants their child to be in the hands of someone who hadn't slept in 36 hours?) so I called out. They told me to just call out for Friday too since it would only count as one incidence and I could get my sleep schedule back on track over the course of two days. So I haven't worked since Tuesday, and the next time I'm in for work is Monday.
This break has been pretty fabulous. I've kind of just hung around the house with Paul, played Mario Party on the Wii, ate some good food, went to a Halloween party last night where my costume and Paul's costume and our friend Chris who went with us, all were a hit.
I was a ninja (which is usually such a classic fallback) but I pulled it off well (I hope). I had skintight black leggings on with a skintight turtleneck and hard core wedge knee-high strappy boots with all these straps and buckles etc that I hid knives in, and I had a face mask that only showed my eyes and I strapped on these double swords to my back. I was super self conscious all night about what was rolling out or flopping over what area of my costume, haha, but whatever I had a good time. Chris was Jesus and he wore sandals with the costume it was AWESOME, and Paul was party boy from Jackass 1. He just wore a sporty jumpsuit so you couldn't see the man thong and the bowtie and white cuffs. Then around midnight he just shouted out in the crowded kitchen at the party "Hey.... I feel like partying...anybody else feel like partying?" Then started jumping around and stripped and danced it was hysterical. He was one of the top 4 picks during the costume contest, but they couldn't find him , so he lost :( Hahah, they said he would've won if he had been there. Roofio from Hook won (her costume was pretty sweet).
Right now I'm hanging out at Barne's and Noble, making my schedule for the month of Nov. I added in a work out schedule along with my work, and my plans with Friends etc, and I made a November "foods to eat" list, but I'm not hopeful for success. If I lose even 5 lbs during the month of November I'll be happy, I'm not going hardcore with this and I'm not even going to be too strict, I just want to lose maybe one pound per week. If I get too crazy with it I'll just end up disappointing myself. I want to be realistic about this and not set goals that are incredibly out of reach because my track record shows that I don't do well with that.
I just sipped on a pumpkin spice latte and I'm thinking of buying the book "the girl with the dragon tattoo"... I'm not in the mood for a homey comfy book I need something to be addicted to right now... no books have truly caught my attention for awhile now and I'm feeling bored with most of the choices out there. I've been a recipe and cookbook whore lately but I need a novel to suck me in. Preferably a series. If you know any let me know. Nothings really sucked me in since Harry Potter or Twilight and the twilight series wasn't even well written, there was a grammatical error like every 10 pages which always turns me off so much. Seriously... you're making millions off of your story-line, and you can't even edit your book appropriately? Not that I am at all grammatically correct in my diary but hopefully nobody is editing it ha!
The plan is to possibly go to another halloween party tonight, go trick or treating tomorrow, and recover on Monday :)
Anyway, here's to 3 more days off and a semi-easy week ahead :)
