~♥ Today I'm Thankful For... Not caring how old I am and just enjoying life!

I just realized I never posted about my birthday! I slept in a bit that morning which was nice. I got ready and picked up my friend and her 2 sons for lunch at one of our fave places to eat, Sweet Tomatoes. It's a salad bar with a soup area, pasta area, bread area, and all kinds of other yummies! We had a great lunch and everybody ate well. After that we all went to the mini golf place nearby and had a blast! We played golf and all had so much fun, and we hit the arcade inside between rounds of golf. My daughter hit the jackpot on one game and got 1,000 tickets from one play!

It was super exciting! She's saving up all her points from tickets to get something big.

      My friend and I decided to try a local country bar that evening so after we finished at the mini golf placed we went shopping so I could find a cute jean skirt. We ended up also getting some cute bikinis because they were super cheap. I got 2 shirts too. I took her and her kids home and then headed home myself so we could get ready for our night out. It took me longer than planned to get ready. I couldn't seem to find just the right outfit. Eventually I left, picked her up, and we hit the bar. This is one of the biggest country bars we have. There is a big dance floor in the middle of the place in front of the bandstand/stage. We had fun listening to the music, having some drinks, and talking.

      Another friend showed up later and we all had fun together. She had some personal stuff going on so she was a little toned down from her normal self. This guy came up and asked us to dance but my first friend and I didn't know how. They both told him to take me and teach me! I was pissed at them hahaha, but I figured what the hell! So he took me out on the dance floor and taught me to two step. It was actually really fun! I had a great time and he was decent company. He definitely wasn't my type though. Later my friend wanted to go dance to a song, she was pretty well buzzed at this point, so she dragged me on the dance floor and had me teach her to two step hahaha! We went out again one more time before closing to dance to some hip hop they put on, which was more my style. I like country music but I prefer to dance to dance music like in a club. It was fun to try a new type of dance though!

      We went back to my friend's house and I slept there. I had a really great birthday! It was super fun and had very little complications. I'm really thankful I got a night out and had such a good time.

I don't get to do that stuff a lot so it was really awesome! It was a great day all around.
