I'm Still alive
Well, the results from ~themed LIMS this time were better than last! Which shocked me, because I liked my last icon a bit more, but, either way I am happy.
My icon:
My score was -0/+3=+3

Its clean, sharp and understated.
The picture of the face is clear, and a reasonable size, so you can see the features clearly. This tiny size of icon does not suit great complicated layering or fading, because you simply don’t see it clearly. Also, the layout
the face at the top left like that, frames the icon nicely. The space to the right gives the icon a sense of non-clutteredness. The caption as the bottom is clear. The black font matches the dark bits of the photo, and the background is a colour that blends in
The first thing I noticed was that the font/text was really easy to read. The font doesn't take away from the icon, and the face is still the main viewpoint. Also, the shading gives the icon a warm feeling and is clear.
I was pretty stoked! Good, constructive comments are awesome.
I'm working on a Sweeney Todd layout, eventually. I'm not feeling that great today, but I felt like I'd update a bit for ya. More to come later, friends.
