been a while

Hey all I can't believe how long it's been since I've even visited bloop. I've been using it on and off for 6+ years...my usernames were iempire, amberandairwaves, and many more I cannot think of. I decided to come back because it's been way too long, and I always remember how great it felt to rant about my day or just share pictures, thoughts, etc. I met so many amazing people on here, including two incredible ladies that have always been there for me and have been so supportive. Nothing but good things came from having a bloop, so I figured why not come back again

My name is Amber, I am 22 years old and I reside in Los Angeles, CA. Long Beach area to be more specific. I currently work at an office that retrieves medical records for life insurance companies/brokerages and their clients. It's not too exciting, and not what I plan to do for the rest of my life but the schedule is pretty nice. I have weekends and holidays off and I like that I just graduated with my AS in Social & Behavioral Science from Los Angeles Harbor College (hence the title). I will be going back in the fall to take an upper division math class (or college level, haha). After that, I plan on participating in a Vet Technician program and hopefully become a licensed veterinary technician within the next few years. I have many interests, but animals are my true passion and where my heart is. Before the office job, I worked at PetSmart in the grooming salon and absolutely loved my job. I had bad days of course, and unfortunately the lack of full time hours (including having a second job at Starbucks) and working 7 days a week, going to school full time, was too much for me so I took the full time office job instead.

milestones.

Besides graduating college, I also just hit 110 pounds lost on Weight Watchers. Woo! I started in September at 264 pounds and was extremely unhappy with myself and just hated what I was seeing. So I joined Weight Watchers, started tracking what I ate and started hitting the gym 3 times a week. 3 times a week turned into a daily thing. I am currently at 155 pounds. I still have a little ways to go but I feel so good and it feels amazing to be where I am at right now. I used to dread shopping and taking pictures, and now I am starting to enjoy those things. It also feels great to get the compliments that I do and hear words of encouragement

I think I'll end it here for now, but I'm glad to be back and hope to find some old bloopers on here as well as meet new ones

Just some general pictures of me.

Thanks!

And that's okay..I haven't been on in a pretty long time. I used it more frequently about 2-3 years ago.

Yeah, the wedding was nuts. So is the family! lol I'm glad I'm only related by marriage, they're all just so dramatic sometimes. I felt so bad for Steph, but at least she got to marry the man she loves.

The Melting Pot is SO GOOD! It's one of my favorite places to eat.

Yes, that's all that matters at the end of the day, but my heart definitely goes out to her! Lol.

I'm really gonna have to try it, I hear so many good things about it!

Thank you! I worked at a vet for several years so I make sure she's taken care of. She, and my three cats, all look their best. I've only had her for a month (she's a rescue - was bred, abused and then dumper) so we've been working with handling her paws. It took three of us to trim her nails the first time. I think I'll be able to do it on my own the next time, though. She's improved SO much in the month I've had her.

I need to brush my 4 kids, though, (LOVE my furminator) since they are ALL blowing their coat. It isn't so bad with my pittie, but two of my cats have long hair... it's a fun time.

I think it's unfair they still have to go off your mom's income, therefore you can't get FA.

Thank you for your kind comment.

RYC: I was in public school until my junior year, and then I was homeschooled my senior year. My brother on the other hand was homeschooled all the way through. Honestly, I would have been better off being homeschooled more. I learned a lot more that one year than I did goofing off on class when I actually showed up to class haha. I like alternative education. The public school system is failing in so many ways. They over emphasize standard testing so much that teachers are falsifying test scores! They have lost the meaning and the heart of teaching. Most of the teachers have not, but they are being forced to follow a system that is not working and that tells them they aren't going to get good pay without high test scores. I think the public education system needs a complete overhaul and it needs to get back to true education and learning. Until then, I am homeschooling my kiddo. :*) She loves it! And she is already a year ahead. It goes at her pace and at her needs so she is not only actually learning, but she's truly enjoying doing it.
