Bloop E-Mail
For those of you with BloopXtra, if you'd like your own address@bloopdiary.com, I'd be willing to create you an account on the server. This service may be extended in the future to members without premium subscriptions. You can use your account with Outlook or other email programs, or use one of three online email services available on the server. For more information, please leave a comment or raise a ticket.
Web Hosting
I've decided that we're going to offer web hosting, for two reasons:
* The server we have right now is barely in use, it's
that powerful.
* The bill is more than it used to be, and I can't justify letting all that excess capacity go to waste - if we can use some of it to bring in some extra revenue, that's a huge plus.
All packages come with:
- Free yourname.bloopdiary.com domain - alternatively you can use your own domain.
- FTP access.
- Frontpage support.
- Daily backups onto a secondary hard drive.
- On web support via Bloop or via email direct to me (Steve).
- Assuming people purchase hosting, we will be opening a phone line that will compliment Bloop's support services.
Package 1 - $1.99 p/month
- 250MB Space
- 1GB (Average) Transfer Limit
Package 2 - $2.99 p/month
- 500MB Space
- 2GB (Average) Transfer Limit
Package 3 - $4.99 p/month
- 2GB Space
- 5GB (Average) Transfer Limit
Other options:
Add PHP & MySQL support for $1 per month.
Add email hosting for $2 per month - includes POP3 & SMTP access, and webmail.
Additional bandwidth or disk space allocation negotiable.
