Hello Bloopers,

Due to the recent database malfunctions at OpenDiary, we are experiencing an influx of new members. I'd like to welcome all the OD refugees to Bloop, and offer this entry as a place for you to introduce yourselves and leave your 'OD name' so that others can find you.

We're glad to have you as a member of our community.

Please note that if you have any problems using the site, you can contact any of the staff members listed on the main page (listed under Who's Staff?). Or you can raise a ticket in the support area. You can also email support@bloopdiary.com if you are unable to access your account.

Our server has lots of capacity left and is well optimised, it also runs daily backups. There are definitely lots of lessons to be learned from the DiaryMaster's mistakes, of which I will be taking note of!

Our biggest complaint, as a whole, is that he leaves us in the dark...we went days without knowing what was going on. It's nt a big deal that the site itself was down it's that he didnt update the FB page about what was/is going on. I backed up my diary, but it saves as a crappy text file...it'll take a long time to clean up, but i suppose it's better than nothing.

Rest assured Steve does not do that to us! When Bloop is down, Steve or his wife, are usually very quick to let us know via the fbook page what is going on.

And our downloaded diaries look awesome too

I always try to notify people on FB and update the Bloop main page in regards to problems. Admittedly, I was much worse at this in the past. I hope that the DiaryMaster listens to what people have to say about this and improves, it simply isn't fair to those that have invested their lives in the site.

I can't get on to facebook right now to put the link in a comment, but maybe you could give everyone the link in this entry Steve, to the facebook group? Just so that the newbies know that there is somewhere for them to go should any issues arise? It's always been a good source of information for any downtime or any personal errors with diaries that have come up. Probably be reassuring to them!

You are awarded points whenever you welcome a new member to the site, this is to encourage interactions with new members that might feel a little lost in the big community (though, relative to OD, it's pretty small!).

Hi, I'm Butterfly4Him on OD, and also Here!! I LOVE this Welcome letter and I love it here already. This is so nice, everyone is kind and friendly and well, to KNOW we'll be notified during outages, is something I have not been used to. We got severely hacked in 2004, and all of us lost at least 2 months of entries, and some lost more. I download my diary about every few weeks or so, to be sure I will have it!!!!!!!! Ive had this thing forever never written. I cant say I'll be here forever. Its not Opendiary. I came here to write when it was down, and well yep two entries. I cant get the feel of this place. I spent ten years at Opendiary. Its home. Ive suffered hacker attacks and just things like that happen. I love OD. Bloop your okay, but OD has my heart!

Hi,
I'm Randomosity's ♥ from OD. I haven't had much of a chance to write much on Bloop today or work on transferring anything over.

1. My husband and I share a computer so.... I'm limited on how long I get on here... share and share alike.

2. My kids are home on the weekends vs the weekdays when they are at school.
